Last weekend saw me head down to London for an afternoon of nostalgia and partying at The 90s Brunch (a pop up brunch) to celebrate my BBFF's (that's Best Blogging Friend Forever) Lela London's birthday!
I'm a girl's girl, always have been, always will be.
I regularly blog about the wonderful kick-ass women in my world and I'm still buzzing from the incredible energy surrounding International Women's Day.
Was it just me who shed a little tear when the Spice Girls got on stage last night? Admittedly I fell I asleep at 9pm so watched it this morning but still-I was 16-1-6 when I first heard 'Wannabee' on the radio-I remember it distinctly-chaperone Papa G was driving me back from Sixth Form College and I couldn't believe how cool the track was, it was truly empowering-these girls were singing directly to the opposite sex of what it would take to be their lover-it was like discovering boys for the first time (but wait that happened before 16, I was dating twins in primary school).
