When photographer Kirsty Mattsson kindly offered me a family shoot, we'd discussed a Mother's Day theme to start ( it also evolved into head shots and a style shoot too) but the most important, most utterly enjoyable part of the day was with my family: my husband Peter and our sons Oliver (4) and Alexander (18 months)-a Mother's Day shoot I'll always cherish.
Leeds based Kirsty Mattsson of Kirsty Mattsson Photography, kindly gave my family and I an enjoyable, memorable photo shoot, putting us all at ease and snapping away, capturing quite simply staggeringly beautiful shots of my sons to treasure always, and even persuaded my camera-shy husband Peter to get in the frame to boot (quite an achievement).
It's World Down Syndrome Day 2014 #WDSD14 this Friday, the 21st March and I wanted to help spread the word on the importance of supporting this special day. My friend, blogger and advocate Hayley Goleniowska of Downs Side Up and mother to two beautiful daughters, one of those is Natty who has Down's Syndrome, first brought the day to my attention. Hayley and her blog offer other's vital support and information on Down's Syndrome and Natty models frequently, making change every day.
The fab folks at Ticktock sent my son Oliver two vibrant, captivating books 'Animals' and 'Planes, Trains and Cars' to entertain and they sure, did deliver.
There are currently so many fab giveaways across both my blogs, anyone would think it's Christmas!
We love a bit of tartan in this house and to coincide with a fab competition over on my style blog Mummy's Got Style where you can win a tartan scarf by buyakilt.com, you can also enter to win one of their brilliant blanket-rugs here.
The fabulous folks at TinyMe recently sent me £30's worth of goodies including this personalised Address & Birthday Book and cute illustrated thank you cards. I am a lucky girl!
So when Serenata Flowers asked if they could send me a bouquet from their online collection to review and host a competition, I typed 'yes' and 'thank you' as quickly as my fingers could, before telling my husband he'd been let off the hook from flower buying duties for the next moth at least...Aren't they pretty too!
