I’ve been visiting Maroush since I was a child- it’s a landmark Lebanese restaurant founded in 1981 (when I was just 1) and has been a firm favourite of my family’s which saw us dine there whenever we visited London from Yorkshire.
Moving to London myself for university, it became a treat for me over the student years, and it’s always wonderful to return with my little Lebanese cuisine loving brood whenever we’re nearby.
With branches all over London and delivery and take-away options, you can enjoy their fresh, delicious and authentic food with ease, and I’ve excitingly got a £100 gift card for you to enjoy at their Kensington Church Street branch.
You lucky things!
Being vegan, this place has options galore for me as so much of the cuisine is naturally plant-based. The kids adore their Shish Taouk chicken kebabs and Peter always plumps for fish (seabass in this case) when we eat there.
It’s rich hummus, delicate Baba Ghanouj, refreshing Tabbouleh, rounds of bread, vermicelli rice, fresh veggies that are brought to your table to kick-start your meal and cleanse your palette and green bean casserole that takes me right back to my Grandma Annetta’s kitchen and childhood.
Peter gobbled the Lebanese pastries and the kids and I enjoyed the fruit platter.
A perfect meal.
You really can’t beat this upmarket restaurant for tasty, healthy and tasty dishes that has been cooked with care and bursting with flavours.
Let me know if you’ve visited. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Love Maroush. Used to go there as kids too and now we go there with our kid. The food is so good.
Ooooooh, I love, love LOVE Maroush. We usually go to Maroush Gardens on the Edgware Road, because it’s just around the corner from the Victory Services Club where we usually stay when we’re in town. We found it quite by accident one day years ago when it was pouring with rain and we didn’t want to trudge any further, and it has become a firm family favourite – and they don’t bat an eyelid when you walk in without a reservation and ask for a table for 12. The food is delicious and we generally fill up on the small plates and the wonderful bowl of salad, ordering over and over again (especially the hummus shawarma and warm flatbreads) until nobody at the table can manage another mouthful.
