Hi! I’m Vicki, mum to two teens and 5 year old! I’m an award-winning filmmaker, content creator and author working across print, digital and TV.

Taking two out of three of my children (the other Taking two out of three of my children (the other had different term times and football commitments so couldn’t make either weeks, and my husband was working) as well as my maman, we enjoyed art, culture, exquisite food, shopping and sightseeing of course together (bonjour La Tour Eiffel) in a nourishing ‘week’, clocking up an average of 20k steps a day (without complaint, miraculously) in the stunning city of lights! We thankfully missed the riots but did see some of the aftermath with designer shops being boarded up and some smashed-up shop fronts. We didn’t feel unsafe however and felt lucky to not have experienced anything troubling during our stay. We left before the second scheduled riot. Now, let me begin by stating that Paris is not only child-friendly but child-centered with bistros, fine-dining restaurants, art galleries and shops welcoming children with open arms. Everyone we met from shop assistants and waiters, receptionists in the hotel, to those working in the airport, referred to Florence as a princess and directed conversation to her before us! The Parisians were always kind and affable, and we experienced excellent service everywhere we went! Dix points! In just 20 images, I share my tips if you’re considering a trip to Paris.
