OK I admit it, I thought I was SOOOO clever and funny coming up with this title (!) but aren’t these two the cutest Pikachus you ever did see?!
Last Sunday was pre snow mania (!) and saw us head to our happy place of Cliveden: gorgeous gardens overlooking the River Thames which were first introduced to us by my good friend Jacqui of Jacquipaterson.com when we moved to the area.
It seems so strange to reflect on the sun now snow and sleet have descended but we revelled in its rays despite the wind and lapped up every minute of (ironically) zero phone time (so no catching of actual Pokémons just the kids dressed up as them), taking full advantage of the enchanting grounds spanning ponds, a lake and playgrounds too, at this unmissable National Trust Park.
We also signed up for an annual National Trust membership while we were there, as my press pass had expired and I purposefully chose to pay and support this wonderful charity rather than opting for a free one.
How postcard pretty and quite the work-out too!…Uphill was tough going (look at Xander’s little legs)!
You’ll also find private 5 star Hotel: the famous Cliveden House in the grounds, a place we’ve been lucky enough to enjoy private dining, al fresco lunches and rejuvenating spa days at.
This trip was more lo-fi but no less enjoyable. Back-to-basic fun with wellies firmly on and the wind in our hair made for the happiest of Sundays. It’s the little things in life right, like this adorable face!
What a place to while away the day. The golden gates make for the perfect Insta pic background too.
Dreamy.
