beanie vs bobble at matalan

After a mild December, the mercury has dramatically dropped in recent weeks. Winter has well and truly arrived, people!

It’s now time to wrap up warm to stave off the chill. Gloves, scarves and of course woolly hats are essential accessories for all the family.

Which leaves one important question…when it comes to your hat, are you a Beanie or a Bobble?

This winter, Matalan, is asking everyone to choose their side – Beanie vs Bobble – as they raise money for incredible Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Charity.

Simply choose your side, buy one a hat, and all profits from each purchase will go towards helping Alder Hey to develop better, safer medicines for children across the UK and throughout the world.

Not only will your head be warm, but you’ll be left with a warm fuzzy feeling on the inside too!

The campaign has captured the hearts of celebrities across the globe, with the likes of Britney, Will Ferrel, Dame Judi Dench and Abbey Clancy all showing their support and going Beanie or Bobble to raise money for this amazing cause!

I couldn’t wait to get involved too and we went…(drum roll please) Team Bobble!

After all it is this season’s most fashionable hat style!

What do you think?

I opted for this funky grey adults hat (£8) with bright yellow bobble!

While the boys went for matching blue and grey kids hats (£4).

Thank you to my friend Michelle (The Joy Chaser) for my stunning starry scarf too, the loveliest of Christmas gifts and the perfect matching silver and grey addition to my bobble hat.

…Can you handle the cuteness of the kid in these hats?!

This is the second year that Matalan has supported Alder Hey and last year’s alphabet scarves campaign raised an astonishing £650,000 towards the hospital’s new state of the art Research Education and Innovation Centre.

You can get involved and upload a photo of you in your Matalan Beanie or Bobble hat by uploading to Twitter or Instagram using one the hashtags #IAMBEANIE or #IAMBOBBLE and share with @Matalan and @AlderHeyCharity.

To buy your hat, head to your local Matalan store or their website.
