Beach Style For Kids With Melijoe

With a family holiday to Jamaica booked for the end of May for us, I’m excitedly planning swimwear for the kids and we simply can’t wait to enjoy the beach.

Here, I’ve teamed up with online designer childrens’ store Melijoe to bring you a selection of some of my absolute favourite swimwear pieces from their gorgeous online store.

With an impressive list of celebrity fans including Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna, Sunuva offers stylish UV protective swimwear and cover ups for kids. Their bohemian yet modern prints – like this feather kaftan (£41.55) – are inspired by the owners’ own travels.

Paisley is one of this summer’s hottest trends, so this swimsuit is perfect for beachside fashionistas. This anti-UV one piece offers factor 50+ protection and never before has staying safe in the sun been so stylish! It is priced £36.

For adventurous tots who want to play out in the sun all day, Sunuva offers a range of rash guard cover ups for boys and girls. Made from breathable, quick dry fabric, these tops are certified by the British Skin Foundation. This Shark print t-shirt is in the sale at £26.59.

Another super kidswear brand that specialises in protective and stylish swimwear, Archimede is renowned for its ‘baby swim float suits’. This underwater print suit for boys (£37.02) frees up the arms, making it easier to learn how to swim. As the floats are detachable, it is utterly perfect for baby’s first swim and beyond.

 

This sweet striped and heart print girls’ buoyancy suit most certainly floats my boat! It is priced at £37.02 and again comes with detachable floats.

This cool 70’s style boys rash guard beach top offers maximum sun protection with UV50 fabric that is also kind to sensitive skin. It is £33.24

Perfect for all the cool cats out there! These sunglasses offer UV 400 sun protection and are great value at just £7.55.

Petit Bateau

Colour blocking is oh so chic and I love the summery palette of these boy’s swim shorts. Beautiful. They are priced £26.44

Kenzo Kids

 

Known for their vivid and eccentric prints, this Kenzo Kid’s tropical one piece is the perfect beach ensemble. It is priced £35.51

This adorable cotton sun hat is adorned with the trademark Kenzo carp that features in much of this season’s collection. It is priced £22.66 and is available up to 7 years.

Souris Mini

I love this bright and bold red hot beach t-shirt. Sizzling with style, it comes with a unique nautical print and is made from a rash guard fabric. It is priced £22.66

This trapeze shaped lycra skirt (£18.13) is cute boho style beach cover up. I love the paisley print and adorable bow detail on the waist.

Protect your bambinos’ barnets in this mouthwatering printed swim hat. It is available up to 2 years and priced £8.31.

 

Monnalisa

 

Italian designers are renowned for their fun, bold designs and this Monnalisa ‘Jerry’ swimsuit (£59) is no exception. It’s the small details that count and I love the cute pink bow on the reverse.

 

This tux-esque monochrome one-piece with bow detail is super glam! It is currently in the sale, priced at £47.74.

 

Billy Bandit

These super cool ‘superhero’ swim shorts (£18.89) are perfect for mini-action heroes. Made of chlorine and sea water resistant nylon, the vibrant colours won’t fade. Super indeed.

 

 

 

This stretch nylon beach t-shirt is the perfect cover up for the beach, protecting delicate tot’s skin from harmful rays. Keeping with the superhero theme, I love the red cape detail on the back. It is priced at £18.89.
