Référence: One study at the Medical Research Council Social and Public Health Sciences Unit in Glasgow, revealed that kids’ IQs tend to be similar to their mothers’, the Mirror reports. Researchers interviewed kids every year from the age of 14-22. A mother’s genetics determines how clever her children are, according to researchers, and the father makes no difference.
Women are more likely to transmit intelligence genes to their children because they are carried on the X chromosome and women have two of these, while men only have one.

Despite taking into account several factors, from the participants education to their socio-economic status and beyond, the team still found the best predictor of intelligence was the IQ of the mother. #study #research #dad #iq #intelligence didyouknow factsdaily facts motheranddaughtertime momanddaughter momofthree girlmom boymom science

Who else is heading for 100?! …You mean to tell me that according to research at Boston University Medical School, women who give birth over 33 have double the chance of living over 95 and according to the New England Centenarian Study, women who give birth after 40 are 4 x more likely to live to 100! #pregnancy #over40 #over30 #motherhood #research

Taking two out of three of my children (the other had different term times and football commitments so couldn’t make either weeks, and my husband was working) as well as my maman, we enjoyed art, culture, exquisite food, shopping and sightseeing of course together (bonjour La Tour Eiffel) in a nourishing ‘week’, clocking up an average of 20k steps a day (without complaint, miraculously) in the stunning city of lights!

We thankfully missed the riots but did see some of the aftermath with designer shops being boarded up and some smashed-up shop fronts. We didn’t feel unsafe however and felt lucky to not have experienced anything troubling during our stay. We left before the second scheduled riot. Now, let me begin by stating that Paris is not only child-friendly but child-centered with bistros, fine-dining restaurants, art galleries and shops welcoming children with open arms. Everyone we met from shop assistants and waiters, receptionists in the hotel, to those working in the airport, referred to Florence as a princess and directed conversation to her before us! The Parisians were always kind and affable, and we experienced excellent service everywhere we went! Dix points! In just 20 images, I share my tips if you’re considering a trip to Paris. There are more details on my blog. Don’t forget to save it! #paris #advice #travellingwithkids #explore #travel
