Honest Mum

Hi, I’m Vicki, mum of two, blogger, vlogger, author and former filmmaker and TV director.

I often pop up on TV as both a presenter and parenting expert (regularly appearing on BBC News and ITV) and I’ve spoken about maternal rights and flexible working as well as perinatal mental health in the House of Commons.

Career highlights include interviewing superstar actress Kim Cattrall and pop group, Westlife.

Instagram post 2194570561488042829_537862275 My kids have mostly been little sh*** this weekend in all honesty but for 6 hot minutes there they stopped squabbling and asked, yes asked, to be in a photo with their long-suffering mum. Hands up who else is having one of those weekends? 🙋🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️. Something that did make me smile this weekend was sequinned jumper of dreams by @jjboutiqueuk and soft faux fur leopard print cross bag I’ve not taken off (#gift #ad). Definitely feeling more festive thanks to the sparkles and our tree is being delivered tomorrow (cue more arguments no doubt)...I usually ask, ‘Is it nearly the weekend?’ but roll on Monday I say and some peace and quiet!

Photo here from my morning homeschooling Oliver in the children’s area (what I don’t know about the Tudors now nobody knows let me tell you) and beautiful baby Grace @maricabamboo @bambooflowersuk joined us too. Look at the cuteness here as Oliver reads to Gracey. He just loves babies and keeps asking for one (and a dog)! I’ll miss my boy madly when he starts school again soon but we’ll always have the precious memories of the past 3 weeks together. What a resilient, caring and self-motivated child.
