Wonderful Women Interview with Singer & Presenter, Frankie Bridge

Frankie Bridge

Francesca ‘Frankie’ Bridge is a singer/songwriter and member of girl group The Saturdays.

She has been married to Wayne Bridge since 2014, and together, the couple have two sons.

Frankie Bridge is supporting the #FeelSuper Campaign for the third year, continuing to raise funds for Marie Curie and hoping to reach £500,000 this year. From the 20th September to the 17th October you can get involved and #FeelSuper at Superdrug with brands such as Oral B, Olay, Gillette, Pantene and many more. One product = One donation. Please do support.

It’s a pleasure to welcome Frankie to the blog.

Describe a typical day for you?

If I am at home then its normally going to be overrun by the boys! If I am lucky I’ll get a chance to have a work out in the morning whilst Wayne is on dad duty – but otherwise, I’ll be running around trying to keep up with the kids. If I am working I am often out of the house pretty early and can be back late, so after a long day I like to have a soak in the bath and relax as much as possible. It’s nice to be able to pamper myself, taking off the make-up from the day and really cleansing and moisturising – I love Olay Hydration + Radiant Glow. Pantene actually has an amazing new 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner that helps keeps my hair nice and shiny.

What’s in your handbag/satchel?

I never go anywhere without my phone, but that’s pretty normal. I always need a good lip balm and eye drops to keep me going throughout the day. And I will probably find something the boys have dropped in there by accident!

What do you wish you’d known at the start of your career you now know?

I think sometimes we don’t enjoy experiences as much as we should when we are doing them – especially if they are really hard work. If I could go back and tell myself anything it would be that, and also not to worry too much…what will be will be.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

That’s a difficult question as sometimes it’s hard to see what’s going to happen tomorrow, let alone 5 years down the road. I look forward to seeing how my boys grow up and hope that I will still be lucky enough to be doing a job that I love.

What advice would you give a budding singer/presenter?

Never give up. Sometimes it will seem like the odds are against you, but perseverance does pay off.

Finally, happiness is…

…Very personal. It’s not one thing, but a number of things that come together and make you smile.
