I clicked with Julianne Ponan, founder and CEO of Creative Nature Superfoods, when we met a few months back at the Business Girls Network where we shared our entrepreneurial journeys.

A champion of female bosses, mums or otherwise, I want to share her tasty and multi award winning products, also seen on BBC’s Dragon’s Den, here on the blog (which you will find in all good supermarkets) and offer a lucky winner the chance to take a vegan hamper home with them worth £50!
With free shipping, gluten-free and absolutely delicious and healthy too, I know you guys will love them as much as we do.
Look at all these dreamy flavours from raw cacoa to goji goodness, ginger detox, salted caramel, apple pie protein and cacao orange with a peanut one for those who can eat nuts.
Their range of healthy snack bars have won more Great Taste Gold Stars than any other cold-pressed range in history too!
With baking mixes (the yummy muffin and brownie mixes are below), flapjack bars my kids and I love on the run and nut-free recipes bar one bar, this business was formed when Julianne who suffers a multitude of allergies couldn’t find healthy and easy to come by snacks and baking mixes she could eat.
‘I started making my own healthy snacks out of frustration at the lack of nut-free products in the market that weren’t packed with additives. I suffer from anaphylaxis to all nuts, some seeds and certain additives, so finding a healthy snack that didn’t cause me to stop breathing was a challenge! That’s when I decided to create my own, using superfood ingredients to improve the nutrient value and my partner, Matthew as a guinea-pig to get the flavours right. Unfortunately he insisted on having a peanut bar in the range, so I let him create his own, as long as it didn’t cross contaminate my bars!’
Julianne and her team source the highest quality ingredients to maximise the health benefits, ensuring their products don’t contain the harmful heavy metals often found in cheaper items from China. Their Barley Grass, for example, is from the rolling hills of Canterbury, New Zealand, an area renowned for producing the most nutrient-rich crop on the planet.
