I wanted to share some snapshots from the weekend in Windsor. We’re loving life here having moved to the Royal Borough in August. We literally feel like we’re on holiday every single day.
We live by the Long Walk (by Windsor Castle and where the Queen often rides her horse) so are enveloped in countryside and picture-postcard perfect views, plus we’re not far from London either meaning my commute is simple and stress-free. Windsor really is the best of both worlds for us. It’s our happy place.
Windsor also makes for the most perfect of photo shoot backdrops as the streets are lined with pretty doors (which you’ll know, if you follow me on Instagram) I regularly pose outside of (sorry neighbours), and the town centre has everything we could want or need with a mix of high street and independent stores, cafes, restaurants and more.
Here I am posing as per, and praying no one opens the door(!)!
Thanks to Next for the stunning 70s style dress which I’ve paired with my new oversized pink teddy bear coat from Forever 21 my husband thinks looks like a dressing gown (!) and my trusty rose gold Converse I’m living in right now.
Hoops for life too as I channel JLO every day.
The boys wear matching blue puffa jackets from Next too (which accidentally also match that bold blue door not far from us-told you Windsor is Insta-heaven)! Adorable munchkins or what?!
Saturdays see us walk into town, catching the Changing of the Guard if we’re lucky (you can check out the times HERE) before perusing the fruit and veg stalls and foodie markets on every weekend!
It’s then time for cake and tea at our faves: the wonderfully eccentric cafe come boutique Madame Posh. I adore this pic of Xander in awe of the cakes within! I’m personally obsessed with the goat’s cheese salad, Peter loves the honey cake!
We also recently discovered the critically acclaimed Sebastian’s Italian too and can’t get enough of it.
Let me know if you stop by my new hometown, won’t you!
