EclipseI just had to share these breathtaking photos my husband took earlier today of the much-anticipated solar eclipse today, witnessed by millions.

Taken on the outskirts of Leeds in Yorkshire at 9.30am, Peter managed to capture the moon eclipsing the sun with glorious precision.

It looks almost magical doesn’t it?

Did you get a chance to photograph it too?

No worries, just another 11 years to wait for the next one!

It was too cloudy here on the Wirral too. It hadn’t been but the sun disappeared right at that moment! That said, I never could of taken a picture like either of those two. They are fab! X

Oh no, sorry to hear that, Xander and I were at my Mum’s that was too cloudy but Peter got this shot from our house, 15 minutes away x

Gorgeous pictures!! Beautifully captured by your hubby. So lucky he got such a great view. Shame it wasn’t so clear in London.

Love the second photo in particular – so dramatic with the dark clouds surrounding it. Sadly we had 100% cloud cover at the appointed hour, so all we got was a bit of a chill and a slightly gloomier sky. Such a shame, especially for the kids.

Thanks Tim, pretty amazing pics, oh no, real shame, I was at my Mum’s at the time though so Peter got a great view and we didn’t!
