Wait, this is the after party. Me slumping on the sofa, willing the toddler to nap so we can recover from the weekend’s celebrations.
Oliver’s 2nd birthday party was a real success (*wipes brow). Everyone had fun, each and every child and their parent/s made it and Oliver got several slow dances with his pick of beautiful girls in attendance. You think I’m kidding right? I’m not. The boy’s got moves.
The real highlight was the disco where Oliver rushed from the climbing frame to shake his booty to Gym Class Hereos’ Stereo Hearts from a compilation we played. Sadly Jay Z was deemed a bit risqué. Either way Oliver loves his tunes. Takes after his me.
Don’t think I didn’t dance till they kicked us out. Here’s the video for his current favourite tune. It’s pretty awesome isn’t it?
This is the Cake I made bought. Got the kids cooing and was more than likely responsible for missed naps and tantrums at everyone else’s after party.
Almost looking forward to next year’s party. Just as soon as I get some sleep.
