My first camping trip.
A dreamy break at Champneys Tring.
A fun-filled long weekend in London.
Welcome to post two of our month-long trip around the North with TransPennine Express.
I’ve Become an Ambassador for Jet2.com & Jet2holidays (& Win 4 Return Flights to the Canary Islands)
I'm so, SO thrilled to announce my exciting new partnership with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays as I become their ambassador-whoop!
The title of this blog post might sound a little silly as what follows is an answer to a question not usually, if ever come to think of it, is asked of me (no doubt because I'm pretty well known for my deep, unwavering love of blogging and vlogging) yet it's one I want to document, for me as much as for you.
The last few weeks have felt like a bit of a dream if I'm honest. A gorgeous sunny adventure in one of my favourite parts of the world: the South of France with good as gold kids and my sweetheart of a husband. I've felt like a lucky, lucky lady after quite a busy year.
Bonjour mes amis! Welcome to this week's Brilliant Blog Posts! The past fortnight has felt like a bit of a dream if I'm honest. Holidaying in one of my adored regions in the world with my favourite people...
So, the third and final instalment of 'Things I've Learnt on Holiday with Kids...' is here because well, the holidays are nearly over and it's time to reflect again amigos so here goes...
So we've been in Cannes for the last week after a blissful 6 days in Avignon where we're returning on Thursday-and it must be said, holidaying by the coast with my kids is totally different to my usual champagne-fuelled film festival shenanigans (naturally)- but it's been just as awesome (despite the constant urge to get booty shaking by night)!
We love London with all of our hearts!
Bonjour my darling readers! I'm excited to announce that I've teamed up with Eurostar to offer a 'très bien' competition!
Having kids doesn't mean having to bid goodbye to luxury holidays. Whether that means saving up for years for the trip of a lifetime or finding luxe breaks which don't break the bank you book ahead of time, here are some suggestions for divine vacays that will make everyone happy.
We were kindly invited to visit LEGOLAND® Windsor on Sunday and it was the most gloriously sunny day to be outside and enjoy the wonders of LEGO.
Summer is here. Hip hip hooray. I literally want to punch myself in the head for writing that but bear with me, I have 2 kids under 7!
What a glorious whirlwind!
Raithwaite Estate is one of our all-time favourite places to escape to, by the Yorkshire coast, in Whitby, just an hour and a half away from where we live.
Oh Wales-it seems so long ago now that we were there but it was literally only a week ago! Luckily, I treated myself to yet another notebook (I have a REAL and pretty consuming obsession with notebooks-and stationery in general)! but this one was a necessity- and meant I could scribble down notes during our lush week away making it easier to reflect back and write this post.
This family loves a holiday. We're nomads at heart and enjoy nothing more than exploring new places. We're also huge fans of the staycation.
Calling all mini-explorers and folks of mini-explorers! I'm giving away a super-duper prize perfect for pint-sized adventurers who love to travel!
As much as I love family holidays together, travelling with kids can be, well...a bit of a nightmare! Packing for the whole family can become a full blown military operation ( I start 2 weeks before the holiday, yes really)- while flying with young kids (my own are worse on short than long haul-go figure?) can frankly, induce fine lines and grey hair by arrival. Thank goodness for Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream pre and during flights, and in-seat yoga (and breathe)! Seriously though, to avoid the headache, travelling by Eurostar with kids is far less hassle than flying when travelling to mainland Europe.
We adore Beningbrough Hall, just outside of York, a short drive from where we live-it's one of those majestic baroque mansions with grounds that prides itself on being warm and child-friendly-and it is that. It also makes you feel utterly serene the moment you enter. An ideal antidote to Christmas mania.
Setting off from Leeds to Newcastle on a grey and drizzly day on Saturday to celebrate the launch of Esso's Synergy Fuels, the rain surprisingly and much to the awe of my kids, soon turned to snow on the motorway mid-journey. We certainly didn't expect it. And certainly not as much.
