Drum roll please folks, I have some incredibly exciting news to share, and if seeing me by a petrol pump filling up isn't obvious enough, then I'll spell it out for you (literally)!
I've recently returned from a incredibly relaxing and restorative break at the Martinhal Beach Resort and Hotel in Sagres, Portugal, where I spent 5 lush days with my favourite lady, my Mum, Vasoulla.
I honestly don't know where to start when writing about our Beaches Resorts' Ocho Rios family holiday because it's literally blown this little family's minds.
For those following my blog or even just my Facebook and Instagram accounts, you'll know my deep love of Yorkshire.
Born in Leeds, I moved to London for uni then stayed for 11 years, before returning back up North 4 years ago with husband and first child in tow.
Saturday saw me train-it to Birmingham, taking my Mum along for the ride (my biggest supporter, it was so sweet she wanted to hear me speak) as I shared my experience as a full time blogger at Tots100's Blog Camp in Birmingham.
Last week saw 'part' of this family spend 7 days in Marbella, staying at the palatial Casa Haniel, a James Villa Holidays' villa in San Pedro, above, for a fabulous, relaxing, fun and invigorating week away.
I've worked with a Publicist for a while to help me with the load as my blogging business is rapidly expanding but I've always believed and practised promoting my own work whether that was filmmaking, my journalistic work to right now, as a full time professional blogger.
Peter (and I ) were a bit blown away by the response to his landscape photography when I shared them on the blog recently so thank you to all who viewed, commented and shared. Now, as part of a regular photography feature by Peter, I'm sharing portraits, mostly of our children that I love.
People keep referring to me (kindly) as Superwoman (if only I looked that good in lycra-wait-a-minute who my kidding, I'd NEVER wear lycra) but truth be told, I'm asked quite a bit 'How do you do it?' so I thought I'd blog exactly how!
On Saturday, my eldest son, my floppy haired, bright eyed Oliver turned 5. I actually can't believe I'm typing this out-5, it sounds so, well grown up.
Isn't summer time simply the best (when they kids aren't making us feel like we're going slowly insane that is)- so far we've had some gorgeous Vitamin D fuelled days in the garden and out and about in glorious Yorkshire to make us happy.
Why not get yourself a lovely glass or jug (ha) of Pimms and enjoy some of my favourite photos taken so far this summer-carefree, fun days pf the kids enjoying the rays:
Ok so we all know 'normal' doesn't really exist but surely everyone can relate to that very real pressure to fit in, you know, feeling like you're doing the right thing, ticking the boxes of thriving at life, parenting, your job....this oh so common weighing yourself up against the 'norms' and trying not to feel the odd one out...
If you follow me on Instagram (and if you don't, where've you been?!) then you'll know last night saw my family come together for another legendary party at my stunning Auntie Angelou's beautiful home under a marquee in her garden.
After the overwhelming response to my post My Career as a Professional Blogger, I want to share more tips and advice and will do regularly on my blog right here.
