Kids can say the funniest things, and let me tell you, my own son, Xander who is now 4 and 2 months, basically needs his own show. 'Get that kid an agent, darling' as my good friend, the great actress Harriet Thorpe always says.
When luxurious baby clothing label Pumpkin Baby offered to send my (still, only just) 18 month old son Alexander a cute babygrow/onesie, I simply couldn't refuse. Taken just before the house move (ignore the door above which needed a repaint)...Alexander was the perfect model for us!
I've pondered a while whether I should write this post, air my views and explore a subject that frankly, needs more airing and exploring. A grey area I've shied away from writing. For fear of being judged, of being considered 'too white' to have experienced racism, for fear of not being taken seriously.
Oliver started school just under a week ago so I thought I'd share what that's actually meant for us both, the reality of my 4 year old beginning the biggest chapter of his little life. I'd love to hear your experiences in the comments...

I found myself scribbing away after dinner on a dog-eared bit of paper (simultaneously trying to watch XFactor on Catch Up), all the things Alexander can now do, aged 1.
