Style Spotlight: Floral Dresses & Flat Shoes (!)

You guys know my obsession with dresses, and since moving to Windsor, I’ve been going nuts in the shops here which are just a short walking distance from our new home (RIP my bank account, hey). Living in the town centre is seriously dangerous for my wallet and I’m literally scared to catch up with my accountant next week (apols in advance Hannah)!

I’ll be sharing all of my purchases here as soon as I wear and shoot them, but I thought I’d highlight a few pieces you might have missed on Instagram lately, as I’ve been getting my pose on all over Windsor, in front of the most instagrammable houses imaginabel (which is pretty much ALL of the houses  btw)! Soz to my neighbours!

First up, I’ve been embracing the flats since our move here because we are freaking WALKING EVERYWHERE and my legs have never felt so stiff!

I picked up a pair of yet to be photographed red ballet pumps from M&S and these pink ruffled pumps from River Island above, which were a bargainous £15 in the sale and feel and are the colour of marshmallows. Perfect!

I bought the floral dress last month in Warehouse from a shopping trip to Liverpool (if you’ve not shopped in Liverpool folks, you’ve not lived).. and it’s meant to be loose on top and in the sleeves and fitted around the waist. The slouchier look is a first for me but I like it. What do you think?

…The metallic rucksack of dreams is Office which I can’t find online for you but it’s definitely still in store as I saw it winking at me in the shop window when I passed it again today. It fits everything in it and the kitchen sink aka your and I’m complimented on it everywhere I go.

Now on to the most badass of dresses which let me live out my emoji dreams and become the dancing girl emoji with this Zara long sleeved tunic. A fan of midis (the perfect length as they’re not too short and revealing, nor too long so won’t trip me up) I like showing off a little alluring ankle over cleavage any day, plus the MASSIVE sleeves are my sartorial best friend as my arms are definitely my soft spot body-wise (literally) along with my mumtum. This beauty hides both. Win, win!

Platforms are Topshop and red cushiony earrings are from Zara too.

I’m a bit obsessed with red accessories generally to be honest. Check out these Topshop tassled things of beauty hanging from my ears, and these bright bulbous beads I’ve borrowed from my Mum forever (she can’t remember where she bought them though, sorry) ;)!

Dress above is Gap bought early on in the summer.

Next up is this monochrome dress below from Topshop which I wouldn’t have usually picked for myself, but the shop assistant recommended it and assured me it suited me.

It has a strange cut out section under the boob area (!) so I’ve paired it with a cream vest from M&S because under-boobage is not happening here. Quirky, not my usual style (I rarely even show cleavage let alone under boobage-seriously, how is that even thing?) I DO definitely like it and know I’ll wear it on the beach with a bikini as well as with various coloured camis.  Shoes c/o M&S from when I modelled for their site.

The straw bag hasn’t got a label inside and was picked up from a gift shop in Yorkshire and is all kinds of Red Riding Hood cute, and the cardi is Tu Clothing.

I’m truly loving sharing my style more on Insta and plan to focus on fashion primarily over there, from now so go follow me, folks.

I was super excited to be informed today by lots of lovely Insta plals that Asos featured me on their website in a pic of me wearing this Topshop Bardot beauty below that was rather nice, especially as this was an image which got trolled. Honest Mum: 1, Troll: 0! Thanks Asos!
