Commissioned post.
As a busy working mum of three with children spanning a teenager, a tween and a toddler with each attending different schools and nursery no less, means I need to be highly organised in order for us all to thrive.
Easier said than done now that I’ve increased my workload and am juggling my children’s busy lives (school, sports clubs, social lives) with my own work life which sees me travelling to London from Yorkshire most weeks for live TV appearances.
Communication as they say is key and they were right.
Meaningful communication between myself, my older children, my own retired parents who help with childcare and my childcare providers is key to a smooth life (as smooth as possible anyway)!
Endless email trails (including emails I would send to myself), trails of text messages and even social media DMs would often lead to miscommunication with others, forgotten pick-ups (oh the embarrassment) and of course work clashes were the norm until recently.
Thankfully, those mishaps are far less likely to happen now thanks to the new and importantly, FREE app Be Family , your family’s personal assistant which makes structuring your busy family life easy keeping communication, planning and synced calendars all in one place.
The Be Family app handles tasks, plan special events and allows you to coordinate your life with other members of your family to ensure you won’t forget pick-up times or miss a meeting again whilst also freeing up your time and headspace.
It also gives you meal time inspiration with links to recipes based on your family’s dietary requirements and preferences. All this in one place!
Structure and forward planning really does equate to a happier family life, and as the default parent with the flexible job, my children’s schedule midweek is project managed by myself. My husband does the morning school drop off and handles their chores and after school clubs. My parents help with my toddler’s childcare.
The Be Family app has allowed my family and I to sync our calendars and arrange our lives in a way that feels more relaxed and less rushed so everyone is aware of timings, special dates like birthday meals out, shopping lists, chores such as empyting the dishwasher, and meals for the week. My older children enjoy cooking and helping with meals.
It also means I have a little more free time for the odd lunch out with my Mama!
Below, Alexander follows his daily chore of emptying the dishwasher and putting the plates away (with a little help from Florence). My eldest son, Oliver, prefers vaccuming.
The features of the app are unique, optimising the way you communicate and the greatest pro is freeing up more quality time so I can play with my children.
I’m still suffering with baby brain to be honest (which has pretty much spanned 14 years) and I often forget shopping list items or even work and school meetings so this app has been a total game-changer for me.
Excitingly, you can watch my Reel on Instagram and enter to win a £100 or $100 Amazon gift card to celebrate the launch of the app. Good luck.

This is a paid collaboration but as always, my words are honest.
