This natural chocolate protein vegan shake is my new favourite drink with or instead of breakfast when I’m in a rush. Packed with natural protein in the rice protein powder and coconut yogurt, this will keep you full until lunchtime.
Ingredients:
- 2 small frozen ripe bananas, previously peeled & sliced
- 120ml coconut milk/ almond milk
- 180g coconut yogurt
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- a sprinkle of cinammon
- 2 tbsp brown rice protein powder with raw cocoa c/o That Protein
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Dark chocolate (70% or higher), vegan white chocolate for decorating and fresh mint leaves for garnish
Method:
Add all of the ingredients to the blender and blitz until it is smooth and creamy (approx 3 minutes).
Taste and add more cocoa protein powder for a chocolatier taste and more coconut milk if you prefer it not as thick. I love thick, creamy shakes.
We melted some white vegan chocolate and flicked it in the glass for the pretty effect and added some with broken dark chocolate on top. We like Free From White Chocolate by Tesco.
Delicious!
We were given a sample of That Protein’s brown rice protein powder with raw cocoa to try and it found it to be tasty and filling.
Suitable for vegans and vegetarians, it was an ideal supplement to smoothies and shakes. Peter added some
I love using it in healthy desserts too, the slow releasing brown rice means it’s a great way to pack in healthy protein.
YUM!
