Having kids doesn’t mean having to bid goodbye to luxury holidays. Whether that means saving up for years for the trip of a lifetime or finding luxe breaks which don’t break the bank you book ahead of time, here are some suggestions for divine vacays that will make everyone happy.
- Beaches Resorts
Visiting Ocho Rios in Jamaica with Beaches Resorts last year, was literally the dreamiest holiday of our lives.
Turquoise waters, golden sand- and the most exquisite of restaurants on site, with entertainment that brought us to tears (their carnival is just magical), we loved every single minute. With a holiday club your kids can enjoy and the talented Sesame Street characters on hand to entertain with parties and even bedtime stories, Beaches Resorts have the WOW factor. We can’t wait to visit Turks and Caicos in August.
2. Disneyland, Paris
A quick hop on Eurostar or a short flight away from the UK, means Disneyland Paris is great for those not wanting a long-haul destination. You can choose between two stunning parks, the original Disneyland® Park or the Walt Disney Studios® Park where you Mickey and his friends await meaning you can immerse yourself into a magical world your kids will thank you for for years.
For those wanting a trip further afield Florida won’t disappoint either!
3. LA Baby!
While I’ve never taken my kids to LA as I visited pre-babies, mates of mine love it there. from museums to pristine beaches and mini golf, there’s so much for kids to enjoy and marvel at and LA is a laid back kinda of place to visit for families. Sunny all year round, you can pop to Disneyland nearby and Knotts Berry Farm in Anaheim, Universal Studios in Burbank, and 6 Flags Magic Mountain in Santa Clarita. Just don’t forget to hire a car to get around as LA is HUGE!
Friends like Omni LA California Plaza and Four Seasons, Beverly Hills.
4. The Martinhal Beach Resort in Portugal
Martinhal is the ideal family resort. I visited the Sagres resort on the coast in Portugal last year and was hugely impressed. This Terence Conran designed resort has endless activities for kids, three incredible restaurants, a Mercado gift shop and grocers which was ideal for fresh coffee in the morning and a sandwich at lunch, four swimming pools, a children’s club and crèche, babysitters, and a host of leisure activities including tennis and padel tennis, mountain biking and watersports all enjoyed by an adjoining beach. What’s more, while the summer months are hot, being Portugal, there’s always a breeze to keep the kids cool.

5. Dubai
Known for its luxe shopping, buzzing night life and glamorous restaurant scene, Dubai might not be your first thought for a family destination yet it is! Head there during the winter months when the temperature is cooler and enjoy all the fab family attractions on offer! The Aquaventure Waterpark is a must-visit-set over 42 acres, the park is jam-packed with thrilling slides, uphill water roller coasters, rapids and wave surges! Don’t forget your swimwear!
Burj Khalifa 124th Floor Observation Deck is wonderful too, offering the most spectacular views in the entire city the whole family will love.
There a million and one luxe hotels in Dubai from Sofitel to the Ritz Carlton so get googling and enjoy!
