Oliver and Alexander at me&i party

Last week excitingly saw me host a style party in my home for one of the most coveted brands in Sweden, me&i.

I’ve reviewed their clothes for over a year now and adore working with such a stylish company whose collections for kids and women are absolutely this family’s collective style – vibrant, unisex kidswear and understated, classic womenswear.

As you can see above, Lina, the me&i representative, had some sweet little helpers on the day.

My sons, Oliver and Alexander carefully hung clothes up before the party  began and took so much pleasure in assisting.

It’s times like this I couldn’t be more proud of those little boys.

Here’s the cutest little film from the day if you fancy a peek before I take through the party in pictures:

We were so lucky with the weather too, it was March yet felt like a summer’s day so when my friends and their families arrived, it was time to play in the garden pre party!

Not before wellies on of course!

Oliver wears v-neck tee with anchor and coolest jeans and Xander wears feline-fronted top, One Black Cat t-shirt and coolest jeans too. You can see a post dedicated to their style HERE.

Then it was food before passion with my parents kindly providing the gorgeous Greek feast from their award winning restaurants The Olive Tree which was yummy!

Spinach pie, meatballs, falafels, potato keftedes, Greek salad and much more…

partyTummies full, together with some of my closest friends, we heard from the lovely, smart and oh-so beautiful Lina on me&i’s collection before everyone tried and bought for themselves and their children.

me&i parties are totally relaxed with no pressure to buy of course, they are just a fun way to meet up with friends while checking out stunning clothes that are distinctive and original that you can’t find on the high street.

It was such a joyous day, fabulous friends and their kids coming together for a catch up, lunch and shop.

me&i clothes

…I’m a huge fan of me&i’s black dresses, the perfect frock for day or night, flattering and figure hugging in all the right places, so opted for their classic boatneck dress for the day.

I must also thanks me&i for making me a TOTAL jeans convert too.

I have honestly never found jeans like the ones in their collection which are firstly ultra-flattering while being comfortable too, pulling you in and making your legs appear endless.

So much so, a friend of mine was convinced to buy some herself when she saw me quickly change into them at the end of the party.

I’m proud to note I now also fit into the size I wore pre-kids at 27.

It’s not been easy but I’ve gotten back into ‘my pre- both pregnancies jeans’ eventually, even if they’re actually a new pair. I promise I will dedicate a whole post to me&i jeans next month as we didn’t get chance to snap them this time, and they’re frankly too gorgeous not to share.

So there you have it, a wonderful day full of sunshine, marvellous mates, glorious Greek food and gorgeous happy-making super stylish clothes, I couldn’t recommend having a party more!

Why not be a hostess with the mostess yourself and invite your friends to a me&i party?

If you fancy it, head to this page on the site and to find out all the details of the gifts you can earn too as a me&i hostess.

Once you fill in your details, you’ll be contacted by a sales representative in your area who’ll talk to you about booking a date for the event along with all the info for the day.

Have fun!

What a great post and how cute was that wee video of the boys! The clothes you had in those photos are all gorgeous and I have to say – I just LOVE the idea of throwing a style party. How different! x

  3. Mama and More aka Zaz

Absolutely beautiful pictures as always Vicki, and I loved the little film too. The clothes look so fun, really bright but not twee, just my cup of tea for my two. So sorry I missed some gorgeous Olive Tree food as well, yum! Well done you hon for getting back into your pre-pregnancy jeans, and I’ll be looking forward to seeing the Me&I jeans post too xx

What a cute video! Alexander running after the ball is just so adorable… and that T-shirt! The bold prints and patterns are exactly my little Jumpy’s style (funny how each of them has their own style. My kids must be French!).

    • honestmum

I love that! They are! My kids are part French so that will account for their great taste in clothes. They pick out their own stuff! So glad you liked the film too x

  5. hayley

Gorgeous clothes! What a brilliant way to shop! No hassle like when going to the shops, but unlike online you can do it in the company of friends!

    Food looks fab too

    • honestmum

I know, it’s such a sociable joyous way to shop, especially with kids, which can be so hard on the high street x

  6. John Adams

What a fantastic way to shop for clothes (although you’ll understand I’d only be buying for the kids). I love the colours in the me&i range, such a bright collection. Looks like a good range of casual and smart clothes too. I can see my two wearing quite a few of those items.

I also can’t help but notice the olive tree outside your front door. Clearly a subliminal message about your parents’ restaurants!!

    • honestmum

Oh yes, my folks and I have olive trees outside our houses, I have 2! So glad you like me&i John, they are a stunning brand and your daughters would look fab in their clothes!

Lovely afternoon, welcoming home, fab friends, delicious food (I ate for the week), beautiful sunny day (I couldn’t prize my kids out of the garden, and finally lovely clothes. I can’t wait to get them. X

What a fun party and how cute do all the kids look?! Xander can really kick a ball can’t he? I am quite amazed. And you look hot in that black number. Wish I lived closer, would have gatecrashed! x

    • honestmum

Oh thanks sweetie, he really is gifted that little one, let’s hope he makes his Mama millions one day ;). I wish you lived closer too, me&i are gorgeous and they have representatives everywhere if you fancy your own party, simply stunning Swedish style xx

  9. honestmum

Thanks darling, it was so much fun and the clothes are utterly gorgeous, I am obsessed with their jeans, the best I’ve ever worn over designer and high street jeans. Will let you know when the jeans post is live xx

  10. Fiona @ Free Range Chick

Well this looked like a whole lotta fun! The kids looked like they had a smashing time. I’m always so impressed with A’s footie skills. Oh my goodness, the food looked incredible – The Olive Tree need to open a branch in Surrey… Your dress was a knockout – I totally get the achievement of losing the weight. I’m slimmer than my wedding day – it’s an actual miracle! I’m so, so eager to see those jeans. I never wore them pre-pregnancy and now I wear jeans a lot. I find they can be so disappointing, fitting fine in-store and then they start falling down and behaving weirdly once you get them home and start wearing them. Anyhoo, this looks like a fab thing to do with friends and can’t wait to see the jeans post! Xx
