Hosting you’re own jumble sale is a great way to raise money for charity and have a spring clean at the same time!
When I was growing up I used to put on my own jumble sales from the bottom of our garden, selling my parents unwanted household items and my old toys to my passers by (I was on entrepreneur even back then!).
But like high street, jumble sales too have gone digital (how savvy) and this spring families everywhere are being invited to take part in one giant online jumble sale to raise money for the famous London childrens’ hospital, Great Ormond St Hospital (G.S.O.H).
The #Mumblesale is organised by international courier, Parcel Hero and bids have already begun on donated items that include treats and gifts for the kids in your life
This is such a wonderful way to raise money for this treasured charity that helps kids less fortunate.
Here in the Broadbent household we set gathered our unwanted items ready to donate to this incredible cause.
Both Oliver and Xander were so sweet, helping me pick out their old books and toys to donate.
ParcelHero (which is a Great Ormond Street Hospital Corporate Partner) say everything from toddler toys to baby bonnets will be up for auction, thanks to generous donations from businesses and parents across the UK.
But ParcelHero are still seeking further donations of children’s clothes and toys, both new and second hand, which they’ll then be auctioning. All money raised from the #Mumblesale will go straight to G.O.S.H.
They have already had generous donations from companies such as Fisher Price and Playmobil, and from kind-hearted parents and bloggers from across the UK but they still need more items for others to bid on.
So get donating and get bidding people!
Any spare toys or clothes that you no longer use can really make a difference by raising money to help save and improve kids’ lives. They are also looking for accessories such as prams, cots, mobiles and changing bags.
You can post your unwanted donations to ParcelHero #Mumblesale, 1 Spruce House, Durham Wharf Drive, Brentford, Middlesex, TW8 8HR.
G.O.S.H is such an awe-inspiring charity.
Originally starting with just 10 beds, it was the first dedicated hospital for children in the UK, and has grown to become a world leading organisation in child health.
Although predominantly funded by the NHS, G.O.S.H. relies heavily on donations to further its cutting-edge research and development into Child Medicine.

What a great way to raise money for GOSH. One of my past students’ life was saved on quite a few occasions by the wonderful staff at the hospital, so the charity means a lot to me. x
That is wonderful to read although so sorry your student was so unwell, thank you for your comment, such a vital charity xx
Great cause to raise awareness for Vicki! Like you I was an early entrepreneur, but I was a little more evil: I used to take my little brother’s toys and sell them back to him! He wouldn’t come to my ‘shop’ otherwise! I like to think of it as ‘early marketing’!! Great post!
Bahah I absolutely love that Nadine-hilare! x
