A stunning ‘modern meets art deco’ style interior with visual tributes to Italy, low hanging lights and green tiled statement walls, this is an Instagrammer’s dream.
The ambience, service, and seasonal, delicious dishes truly make for an outstanding meal on Mother’s Day, and any day, and there were varied vegan choices for me as well (Italian is always an easy option for those following a plant-based diet).
With attention to detail, twists on traditional dishes, and ample serving sizes, everyone felt full and happy after our fabulously long lunch.
It was extra special to spend it with my Mum who has been visiting for the last few weeks.
I love these candid shots of the chefs at work!
These are the dishes they rustled up, that we duly scoffed-I only ate the vegan dishes of course.
Garlic bread and dough balls (cheese and plain)
Bread soldiers, dips and vegetables
Butterfly King Prawns on Italian bread with garlic and parsley.
Mixed rainbow salad
Spinach and Ricotta Girasole meaning, ‘sunflower’, these pretty pasta parcels are served with spinach and a mascarpone cream sauce.
Vegan Spaghetti lentil ragu: a hearty ragu of green lentils and mixed vegetables in a rich sundried tomato sauce.
Spaghetti bolognese for the bambinos!
Penne arrabiata (vegan)-my favourite dish of fiery rich tomato and basil sauce.
Seabass for Mum and zucchini
…The desserts were excellent too with…
Prosecco ice cream (vegan).
Blood orange and chocolate tart (also vegan) which is a zesty dark chocolate tart served with tangy raspberry sorbet.
Pistachio and olive oil cake-winner of a Great Taste award, this deliciously moist and nutty cake is served warm with vanilla gelato.
Passionfruit and raspberry cheesecake (vegetarian)-passion fruit and raspberry cheesecake on a biscuit base, drizzled with tangy passion fruit sauce, served with vanilla gelato.
When it came to fashion, mum and I were twinning in our Mother’s Day outfits (my beautiful dress was a gift from Bombshell-a post on it with competition coming soon), our V necklaces by Nell and Digby (I bought mine and my Mum’s was a kind gift) and the meal, drinks and kind Mother’s Day gifts of Extra Virgin and Chilli infused Olive Oil by Ask, were complimentary. Boys shirts were gifted by Next. I was styled by Lauren Jobling.
Then it was coffee time!
We burned off all that energy in Kensington Gardens close by!
