Updated post.
We are utterly obsessed with smoothies in this family and this mixed berry delicious and healthy smoothie made using Iceland’s Juicy Berry Mix (only £1.50 for a 500g bag) hits the spot for breakfast and beyond.
Iceland’s ‘frozen for freshness’ mix of raspberries, blackberries, redcurrants and blackcurrents are picked from fresh and frozen to retain nutrients.
This works well with other ingredients too like spinach and kale too.
Opting for frozen ingredients means saving on waste and money while not scrimping on flavour or health. 1 bag alone makes 3 tall smoothies-brilliant value too huh?!
Berries are bursting with vitamins and fibre including vitamin C, A and folic acid along with minerals such as calcium, potassium, antioxidants which provide anti inflammatory and anti carcinogenic properties. What a superfood they are!
The yogurt offers you filling protein.
All you need to make one yourself:
Ingredients (all from Iceland):
- 150g mixed berries like Iceland’s Juicy Berry Mix
- 250g Onken Natural Set Biopot yogurt or coconut yoghurt
- 500g Fresh Pasteurised whole milk (you can use semi or skimmed if you prefer)
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup.
Method:
Add all ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with strawberries if you so wish.
Quick, simple, something the kids love too, for breakfast or a day time snack, it will keep you full, satisfied and healthy too! Yay!
Enjoy!

Glad you read, you will love it!
Frozen fruit is another reason I want to invest in a deep freezer! Unfortunately we just don’t have the space. I’m a big fan of Iceland’s frozen fruit & veg as well and would use it more often if only we had enough space to store it!
Aw hope you get a bigger freezer. They also have tonnes of fresh and chilled products and everything you need from a shop too x
