My super cool husband Peter is someone who dresses classically casual when it comes to every day pieces-stylish but understated: Gap jeans, Ralph Lauren tees and polos, converse white and brown (leather in winter, cotton in summer) and striped jerseys and jumpers.
He then ramps up the style stakes if we have a night out with an Armani or Ralph Lauren shirt, Tommy Hilfiger jeans or my favourite, suited and booted usually in a Paul Smith number.
Model-tall, that man suits anything to be fair.
What a dude!
He’s such a laid back cat though (and isn’t a fan of shopping), it’s usually me who does the picking and buying for him.
And I have the powers to influence, believe me.
A previous hater of the Breton stripe, Peter is now converted and the majority of his wardrobe is all about the diagonal! Yay!
Here, I’ve collaborated with House of Fraser to find my main man some new polo shirts and tees in time for the summer.
Do you like my picks?
How does your husband dress? I’d love to know in the comments.
These are my favourites. Read on for my low down on the best tees on offer for the men in your life!
Nothing beats a classic white RL polo. The equal to my own classic white shirt (effortlessly chic as long as it stays away for kit kat stained fingers), I wish our wardrobes were full of white pieces.
As a complete contrast, I love this bright blue Ralph Lauren polo, perfect for a summer holiday, it would take Peter easily from day to night. Beach to beer time by the ocean. Just fab!
This Hilfiger Terrence T Shirt is a casual, cool number for everyday. Peter works from home so needs a constant stream of tees to keep him comfy at his desk and I love the American style flag over the text here.
This Howich California Block short sleeved rugby top is the ideal laid back look for Peter both here and abroad. I love him in pastels too. I adore the contrast of the stereotypically alpha male style in a softer colour. Lush.
I adore this unusual Hugo Boss Peerson Polo for a smarter look. Peter could wear it under a jacket for date night or to smarten up jeans for Sunday lunch out with all the family.
Which do you like and how does your husband dress (or like me, do you dress him) 😉

Great advice, a good t-shirt can be casual or dressy when worn right. Love the picks!
My boyfriend prefer to roll his long sleeves or most of the time he wears directly a short sleeve shirts. However he looks so smart and cool whenever he meets me. So I gifted my favourite, plain black short sleeve and slim fit shirt for his 29th birthday.
