Dreams can come true, people!!!! It’s been a long-time coming as I conceived the idea for a MUMBOSS bag back when I got a book deal but now, together with designer brand KeriKit, it’s materialised, literally!!!! Yay!
Meet the Vicki bag which is vegan leather in leopard print of course (leopard print for life) and is not only strikingly beautiful but also versatile and useful too. I honestly can’t live without mine- it comes everywhere from the school run to cocktails with the school mums and everything in between, I feel empowered and organised because of it and I’m endlessly stopped and complimented on it!
The Vicki bag shape is based on KeriKit’s award winning Joy Silhouette and makes the perfect baby bag, work bag, gym bag or travel bag. In fact, it’s the ‘go everywhere, do everything’ bag for parents who need to be organised but don’t want to compromise on style. You can even personalise the bag tags too with up to 5 gold print letters. Gorge.
‘The Vicki’ offers hands-free, effortless organisation with compartments within and on the sides, inners and outers for bottles, snacks, your laptop, extra clothes, headphones, your mobile…with absolutely anything you can think having a place in this bag.
I know you guys will just LOVE it.
I thought you might find the process of ‘brain wave to actual bag’ interesting so I’ve shared it below along with the shoot photos and some behind-the-scenes pics, we took on on location and in my home in Windsor a few months ago.
How it began.
Inspirational and dynamic founder of Keri Kit, Keri Jamieson and I met after following one another online, and had several pre production meetings to discuss the partnership and what I’d hoped for from the design. I needed to ensure the bag would meet all of my needs so it would work for our audience: you guys so that’s where we started. As with MUMBOSS my book, what mattered most was making the ideal bag for you.
I adored the shape of Keri Kit’s popular Joy bag with dedicated places for everything including a laptop sleeve, and having embraced the vegan lifestyle several months ago, I wanted the bag to be made of a non-leather material. Keri sourced several options and we both plumped for nylon as it’s lightweight but hard wearing, and worked perfectly with the leopard print pink and black design I chose. I adore the gold detailing and stitching, and the pale peach lining within.
Here’s a tour of the bag (which also fits around your hand luggage!
*clutch sold separately.
This is a luxurious bag at the reasonable price of £145.
Above is a photo of Keri and I meeting up in Waterloo as Keri showed me the first custom made bag, so we could finalise the design and make final checks. I fell in love immediately as you can see from the smile on my face! It was a precious moment.
I’m so proud of the work Keri and I have put into this beauty of a bag. ‘The Vicki’ really does makes life easier. It’s ergonomically correct so is comfortable on your back and arm, and is built to last.
Funnily enough the whole process from conception to product has been around 9/10 months, the same time it took me to write my book and have my babies!
I know some of you have already pre-ordered (whoop) but now the bag is available for shipping worldwide!!!!
Please tag myself @honestmum and @kerikitbags in your pics online as we’d love to see you rockin’ the Vicki bag!
