What I Wore: A Little Red Dress, LV Speedy 30 Bag & a Black Leather Jacket

The long bank holiday was bursting with celebrations for this family, as my husband and I celebrated 10 years of marriage, my cousin had a beautiful bouncing baby boy Leo (on the same day as the Duchess) and my brother Solos proposed to his gorgeous girlfriend Lucy and she said yes!

Such a wonderful weekend of champagne on ice (throughout), lots of laughter and exciting plans made for the future-we love a wedding here, so much so, I had 2, one in South Africa aged just 24, my husband 25 and another, a glorious Greek wedding in Harrogate, Yorkshire a year later.

I’ve written all about our specials days and my marriage in this post here: Celebrating 10 Years of Marriage (it’s really been the best 10 years of my life) so here I’ll focus on style, what I wore on date night and the gorgeous diamond ring my husband gave me to mark our decade together. Date night saw us head to an intimate and truly romantic Italian restaurant in Leeds that with eyes shut could have been Rome-and being a romantic night, only red would do!

Here I am with my little red dress toughening up the look a little with a black leather jacket for a Saturday night dinner out at a local Italian.

I left my hair loose in bouncy natural curls (Peter’s favourite style of mine), wore my diamond, emerald and ruby earrings and necklace set, a gift for my birthday, my faux snakeskin Clarks (really) heels and hung my Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 bag on my arm. Together we toasted to our 10 years: meeting as MA students, now with 2 beautiful boys and so many happy memories.

Peter and I are one another’s ying and yang, I tend to be the life and soul of the party, he’s quieter and more zenned than me (I’m a born worrier), we’re both foodies, love travelling and watching back to back episodes of Family Guy-together we just totally work-he calms me down while I get him excited. Two imperfect people who make an ideal match. Aw. Now that’s enough soppyness for you all for one blog post!
