I’ve always loved John Lewis and always will, it’s this family’s go-to place for furniture, kid’s clothes, homeware, bedding, prams… thank goodness we can buy online now we’ve moved to Leeds which *whispers- is yet to open a store…hopefully it’s coming soon!

Fear not though, we do get our actual ‘JL’ hit in Manchester, Liverpool and London (this is sounding like John Lewis on tour)-my poor husband, ha! Well, I did say we LOVED it!

So our new house move is imminent after exchanging on Monday (woohoo!) and I’ve been languishing a lot of time online (hello Pinterest) perusing furniture and homeware I’d like to fill the new place with, from shabby-chic style pieces to antiques and med-inspired decor. I’ve been reading articles on interior design and how to get the best out of your space online too.

…And here are some inspiring pieces by John Lewis for the house:

For the Kitchen:

John Lewis dining room

This stunningly elegant, French inspired range features a soft grey painted finish and beautiful parquet oak top with a lightly distressed shabby-chic finish. An understated, chic kitchen/dining table I need in my life. Immediately. £199-999.

Dining Room:

The inspiration for Neptune’s Suffolk range didn’t come from Europe though, it was influenced by a discovery of classic “Ball Back” chairs produced in East Anglia at the turn of the 18th Century. Simply stunning. The Suffolk range consists of beautifully crafted chairs and tables and a range of living room pieces. I will be pinning!

The Office:

Logan Office Range

Think this might just be my dream office! With simple sled legs and well proportioned, box-like forms, Logan is a contemporary, soft style range with clean lines and a natural wood finish. Love!  £125-425.

I just need to get into the new place now and begin putting my mark on it!

It’s great that each one these pieces of John Lewis and Partners furniture leave such flexibility within the way we live. The key to living flexibly during this space is to shop for quality furniture which will have multiple uses. The planning Project by John Lewis shelf is so stylish and stylish. It had been the right solution.

John Lewis is my favourite shop, I feel at home when I step in there (might be spending a bit too much time in my local one, actually!). Great dining room table, get it! x Mel
