Hobbs shoes

Hobbs’ Pretty A/W Shoes & Boots…I’m totally head over heels shoe mad and really need to curb my addiction, it’s just so hard. I really love the confidence a great pair of shoes or boots gives you irrespective of how you might feel about your body that day or even year. A great pair of shoes which fit well always lifts my spirits.

I have a long affinity with Hobbs as it was one of my first jobs after studying at Goldsmiths’ Uni, before becoming a professional freelance writer and director and I fondly remember learning about capsule wardrobes and new season pieces and accessories as I worked my way to saving to start a freelance life…my love affair with clothes really began there.

Hobbs to me means well made, luxurious yet functional British designs which will last forever. Admittedly it was hard not to spend all my earnings at the time on clothes and shoes from the store, but the few pieces I did buy are still in my wardrobe, so many years later from classically cut tailored jackets to pretty dresses, timeless and long lasting.

Today I’m sharing with you some of my favourite shoes and boots from Hobbs’ A/W collection including day wear and occasion shoes I would love to own myself.

Which are your favourites?

Bea Ballerina – £85

My ballet pumps are shoe staples whatever the season. I would wear these with pop socks or tights in winter then barefoot in summer. Perfect with skinnies and my boyfriend winter woollies, I love these cute foundation coloured pumps. Perfect for running around small kids in!

Gillie Longboot – £289

With a modern spin on the traditional riding boot, Hobbs’ signature riding boots are perfect for A/W.

Whether you wear them with skinny jeans, a long A-line skater skirt or even a mini number, these boots will see you through many a cold blustery month. Beautiful!

Gold NW3 Carine Shoe – £129

Featuring in style pages everywhere, it’s safe to say metallics are back where they belong (in fashion) and these Carine rose gold shoes are a clear example of why. A look hot off the catwalk, they simply make me smile then want to dance. I would totally wear them in the daytime too with a pretty floral teadress and light denim jacket. So pretty!

Black NW3 Cecile Shoe – £149

Hobbs' Cecile Shoe

From business meetings to girly nights out, these shiny patent Cecile shoes are going to take you places. Redefining the classic Mary Jane these shoes when paired with a pencil skirt or figure flattering trousers, will shine and shine!

Agnes Brogue – £189

Agnes brogue

There’s no doubt about it, brogues are a Winter must-have but if like me, you’re uninspired with the usual black and brown leather ones, these gorgeous monochrome Agnes shoes look like the answer to my brogue woes.

The black and white detailing creates a refreshing new take on this classic style and will toughen up girly dresses in the day.

I love the black boots, and would team them with a wooly skirt and tights for a great work outfit or over leggings and a jumper dress for casual social occasions.
    The white brogues are stunning!!
