Florence Wears Beautiful Organic Kidswear Brand Baere

In the latest installment of Florence’s Fashion (!) the spotlight shines brightly on utterly beautiful small baby and kids’ clothes business Baere based in my hometown of Leeds.

Baere was founded by mum, fabric designer and product maker, Alaina Dunne, who lovingly makes each order by hand. Wow.

I discovered Alaina’s business thanks to the kindness of our mutual friend Emma, founder of The Jewellery Makers (another stunning brand) who kindly sent Florence this dreamy, vibrant multi spot dress with adorable mice leggings as present recently.

Alaina’s unique designs (her prints remind me of the YBAs I read and sometimes even saw on campus visits during my time at Goldsmiths, University of London) and her attention to detail with both the cuts and embroidery as well as her bright, happy-making hues make this a must-have brand for babies and young children, in my eyes.

Being a mum, she also has a distinct understanding of what both parents and kids want from clothes: style, playfulness plus comfort.

The designs on the Baere website are so stunningly unique and striking yet they’re incredibly comfy too as each item is made with snug GOTS certified organic cotton and 7.5% spandex for added stretch.

What’s more, each design boasts sweet friends in the cuffs and leggings with animals ears babies and toddlers can grab, pull and play with. Their faces are the right way around for maximum interaction and friend making. The ever-growing collection boasts bold, charming and thoughtful pieces you’ll want to keep adding to your kid’s wardrobe.

What’s more, £1 from each item sold is also sent to charity, the ACD Association. ACD is a cruel lung disease which is incredibly rare and rarely diagnosed. Alaina devastatingly lost her baby boy Fraser to ACD in April 2014. 

I utterly adore this business and have just bought a supercool colourblock sweater for Florence too.
