Sometimes it takes a Yorkshire lass to arrange a London meet-up, ha!
So many of my fabulus friends, all creatives: designers, bloggers and two close doctor friends (both super-creatives too) met up at the incredibly elegant Aubaine Hyde Park last Thursday for Christmas drinks.
Aubaine Hyde Park kindly gave us their stunning back room for our party, showering us with fragrant mulled wine and delicious cakes we devoured.
Oh and I scoffed this epic burger too!
Divine.
More than anything, the energy in the room, the positive vibes from so many hugely talented women who work in the digital space, bloggers, on TV and film, PR, animation and more was freakin’ ELECTRIC yet so chilled-a bunch of strong and content people putting the world to rights, laughing (a lot) and having a merry ol’ time.
You know when everything just feels so right, you look around and have that feeling of love for all (and that’s not the mulled wine talking). True mates, some I’ve known since I started blogging 5 years ago, others I’ve become close with over the last year.
There were a few sittings to apologies if anyone was missed in the photos.
Thanks to this incredible bunch who are my favourite creatives in the world (no exaggeration)-exquisite writer and yoga guru Zaz of Mama and More the brilliant, seriously stylish Nomita of Ebabee Likes and her beautiful daughter A, I adore, the super-sassy and smart Amanda of Ginger-Mum who writes one of my favourite blogs, Uju of Babes About Town, otherwise known as my #Guru, my absolute rock-a screenwriter, blogger and all round amazing lady…Also, the wonderful creative genius Indy of Indypendent PR , Emma, renowned journalist and blogger at Free From Farm House, Alexandra of stunning French kids’ online store Tendre Deal and Amee, my gifted site designer and super talented friend.
A whole lot of ‘gifted’ in one room let me tell you!
How cool is A’s coat?! What a mini fashionista, and it’s no wonder with Nomita as her Mama.
And wait, there’s more…
…Big thanks too to one of my oldest and best friends in the world, Will (we have so much history together and Aubaine was really poignant as we did a lot of partying round here as uni students and new professionals as I lived on Westbourne Grove for many years after uni)- and here’s my fab friend Adam too: both chaps made a real effort to be with me for festive drinks and it meant a lot. These guys are my Dr Squad! Ha!
Aw, this year has been so wonderful, first and foremost thanks to the amazing women, collaborators and real friends I’ve made as a blogger-I feel so lucky to have these peeps in my life. We support one another, build each other up, are there for the good times and the bad and without them, life wouldn’t be as awesome as it is!
Thanks to those who came and Aubaine of course- and here’s to another meet-up in the ny for more madness!
