Exploring Britain’s Best B&B’s with Dorset Cereals & Win a Bespoke Hamper

More and more of us are holidaying on home turf here in the UK and we love a relaxing stay-cation with the best of them.

In fact, a whopping 75% of us Brits will take a short break or holiday in the UK this year, exploring our wonderful country and all the incredible sights and attractions it has to offer.

From the electrifying and culturally enriched cities such as London, Glasgow and Leeds, through to the breathtaking coastlines and gloriously kitsch seaside resorts, GB is gloriously gorgeous.

In fact earlier this year, my husband Peter and eldest son Oliver took their very own staycation after a certain ‘passport mishap’ meant they couldn’t join the rest of the family as we holidayed in Marbella for a week.

As much as I LOVED my week away in Marbs, I was also secretly envious of the boys’ fun-filled series of mini-breaks, heading to Liverpool, Southport and Wales. It’s since inspired me to explore our incredible country more and I’ve developed an ever growing bucketlist of the places I want to visit.

And one of the great things about holidaying in the UK, is all the wonderful Bed & Breakfasts that are on offer, ideal for families wanting a laid back weekend away.

This weekend I’ll be heading to Egton Bridge which is near one of my favourite coastal towns, Whitby, staying and reviewing the Broom House Bed and Breakfast as part of the Dorset Cereals B&B Awards in association with Sawdays.

But first let me take a moment to share my excitement about our getaway to the brilliant Broom House.

Even though I’m Yorkshire born and bred, I will never tire of exploring my home county. And no wonder – it is genuinely one of the most beautiful places on the planet. And despite visiting the Yorkshire Dales National Park countless times; the views enrich me, I always leave feeling rested and rejuvenated, ready to face the world again anew.

The bed and breakfast is located in the perfect spot to explore ‘God’s own county’, nestled between coast and countryside, it is the ideal base for trips to Whitby and Scarborough, as well as the North York Moors.

The B&B itself is as stunning as its views over the Esk Valley…the luxe rooms are en-suite with stunning stylish contemporary decor, as well as all the mod-cons such as TV, Wifi and a DVD player to keep the little ones happy at down time.

Broom House in famous for its charming 1 acre garden too so hopefully the weather permitting, we can enjoy al fresco fun together.
