Are you scrambling to put together an outfit for World Book Day today or has it been cancelled due to the snow? My kids’ school have moved theirs to next Friday as they are closed today for a Snow Day but I wanted to go live so you guys feel prepared!!!
The boys adore Charlie and the Chocolate Factory so helped me put together outfits for Willy Wonka and Charlie respectively that were quick (these literally took 5 minutes because who has more time than that) and look as cute as can be!
Yes, you need to stretch your imagination a little to realise who they are, as did they, when they came up with them but that’s the fun and purpose of World Book Day right?! To get creative!
I love these and the fact we’ve recycled the stripey pirate costume trousers Xander wore on Halloween, and my red hat he likes to steal for dress-up, in his Willy Wonka guise, and of course, Willy Wonka outfits make for great Halloween costumes too.
The rest of the outfits are high street pieces they wear day-to-day.
I won’t lie, we all ate the chocolate you see Oliver holding as Charlie. That was our reward for our World Book Day outfits.
What are your kids wearing?
The Huffington Post have included the boys in their costume round-up too.
