little black dress

Date night started out being an ambitious bi-monthly well-date for Peter and I, but life has gotten busy so it’s now more of a monthly treat, allowing us both get a bit dressed up and enjoy dinner and bubbles without little ones, for much-needed couple time.

It’s so important to just reconnect without the day to day rushing of work, children and general life and relax, eat fine food and have a laugh.

Having been together since uni, we both know each other so well and I always think when we get couple time it takes us right back to our 20’s, two kids later in our mid 30’s.

Last week saw us head to a chic little Italian restaurant near us and being such a sunny, warm evening, I opted for this sheer panel dress picked up in H&M two years ago (worn at the Cannes Film Festival and many a girlie night out) which is flattering and always makes me feel my best.

Vivienne Westwood heels

I paired it with these spectacular Vivienne Westwood Heels c/o SOLETRADER and carried this hard cased gold rimmed River Island clutch bought many years ago.

But let’s get back to the shoes.

When the shoe-haven that is SOLETRADER got in touch recently offering me anything from their site to review, I headed straight to Ms Westwood for some glam summery heels that would see me through A/W too.

Vivienne Westwood heels

Vivienne Westwood and Melissa Lady Dragon Sandals.

These beauties are not only classically stylish with their tortoiseshell bows and dark tan outer, but they’re the most comfortable heels I’ve ever worn.

The heels are made of this rubbery (really) flexible material (a sophisticated jelly shoe for adults if you like) which are made from recycled rubber too I must add, and have a bubblegum smelling sole to fight odour and bring a bit of girlie magic to your wardrobe.

I couldn’t love them more, they elongate the leg, are effortlessly cool in that quirky Westwood way only she can nail, and suit LBD’s as much as the much-loved ruby, azure blue and emerald frocks you guys will have seen lots of, if you follow this blog.

H&M dress

Thanks SOLETRADER, I know I’ll be wearing them on many more date nights to come.

Currently reduced to the brilliant price of £79 from £149 so pick yours up now!

I haven’t worn heels in such a long time I don’t think I’d be able to walk but those are stunning! The dress looks great as well- passing for both classy and casual/formal. Looking good honey! Xx

Thanks very much Stephanie, a bit of practice and you’ll be back in heels, these are so comfortable too, the rubbery material means they really are easy to walk in x
