CHANEL Lust List

It was Coco Chanel who said a woman should be two things – fabulous and classy. I have the same mantra when it comes to my accessories and have always, ALWAYS lusted after a CHANEL handbag.

Chanel handbags are the epitome of style. Stunning, classic and oh-so chic. Crazy expensive too but they don’t lose value, are investment pieces and will be passed down one day to my son’s partners or a daughter if I have one.

I’ve never taken the plunge before but with my first book out next year (eek! *insert excited emoji*) I’ve decided I’m going to treat myself and mark this milestone with some delicious new arm candy.

I haven’t decided on which style to invest in yet (recommendations are welcome in the comment section please) so I’ve been spending a lot of time on the CHANEL website and perusing Harvey Nics and Selfridges in search of my next dream bag.

It was Sophia Amoruso, Founder and CEO of Nasty Gal and author of #GIRLBOSS you uttered these wise words,

‘When you treat your possessions as emblems of your hard work, they inherit a meaning that transcends the objects themselves’.

Yes to that. I’ve been incredibly lucky to receive diamond jewellery in the past, an upgrade on my sparkler to a 1.5 carat beaut last year and a 3 diamond eternity ring when we celebrated the 10 year mark. The magpie in me would love a 3 carat one day. A girl can dream huh!

Anyway, back to the bag.

I’ve narrowed it down to a shortlist and my book’s not out until March 2018 so there’s lots of time to ponder but what do you think?

Large Chanel Classic 2.55

Large Classic Handbag in Lambskin, black and burgundy, £4830

Designed by Coco Chanel herself to free up her hands from carrying a handbag, it is arguably one of the most iconic bags of all time. I’ve lusted after this bag for so many years I’ve lost count, and while it comes in various sizes, this large, roomy version is perfect for any mumboss.

Large Boy Chanel Handbag

Large Boy Chanel Handbag in Grained Calfskin and Ruthenium Metal, £3,030

Known for its unique clasp design, the Boy Chanel range is a younger, fresher range of handbags by CHANEL. I love this large handbag which is perfect for both work and play.

Large Boy Chanel Handbag in Braided Calfskin and Ruthenium Metal Green

Large Boy Chanel Handbag in Braided Calfskin and Ruthenium Metal Green, £4,740

I love a bright handbag to add a pop of colour to my LBD. This bag is guaranteed to stand out with its unique emerald green hue (rare in luxury leather goods), as well as the distinctive braided design which gives it edge.

Chanel Calfskin and leather backpack

Calfskin and metal backpack, £2700

Practical and stylish, I’m a huge fan of the backpack. In particular, I love this minimal, effortlessly chic style combined with the signature, quintessential CHANEL quilting. What a dreamboat.

Large Shopping Bag in Grained Calfskin and Gold Metal Blue

Large Shopping Bag in Grained Calfskin and Gold Metal Blue, £3,420

This vintage style handbag reminds me of what the style Queens Grace Kelly or Jackie O would wear. I love the striking blue and gold combination. Very regal indeed.

Chanel Flapbag

Flap bag in grained calfskin, lambskin and gold metal, £2570

Well hello there dream bag! This is quintessentially Chanel bag screams Parisian glamour! Ooh la la!
