My own Mum is my biggest inspiration, the smartest, most selfless woman who did a cracking job of raising my brother, Solos and I and offers me crucial childcare, support and love in raising my own two sons. I literally don't know what I would do without her. I always try to make sure my mum knows how much I appreciate her. From simple spontaneous texts telling her that I love her to glamorous nights out at the opera. However, I still like to make a big fuss about her on Mother's Day. Yes its driven by commercialism but who cares! It's the one day of the year that I can dedicate to the number one woman in my life! I didn't think my mum could be more amazing if she tried, but she has surpassed herself and is kindly offering one lucky reader the chance to win a £50 voucher for my family's multi-award winning restaurant The Olive Tree to be used this Sunday (15 March 2015) as an amazing Mothers Day treat!
Those who follow this blog know that this family are photo-mad, be it striking a pose in photographs ourselves or simply snapping family days out, the ordinary (park life, the food we love) and the extraordinary (film premieres, holidays, modelling shoots and more), usually my gifted husband Peter behind the lens.

When founder of Mellow Duck, Helen Cook contacted me about a new venture she was setting up-upholstered pods perfect for families like mine, and in my hometown of Ilkley too (I grew up in this tiny town before moving to Leeds), I couldn't wait to add one to my own home and spread the word on her beautiful new business.

I try and live as healthy a lifestyle as possible and that includes high quality cocoa and dark chocolate in my balanced diet. For those who don't know (where've you been?) cocoa is a superfood bursting with endorphin-releasing ingredients, antioxidants, calcium, magnesium and iron, great quality chocolate is oh-so good for you. One of my all time favourite chocolatiers Hotel Chocolat also believe that everyone should be able to include top-quality chocolate at the heart of their healthy lifestyle, and what's more, cocoa-rich chocolate is perfect for optimising sports performance too. Good news at this time of year in particular with new starts and motivation to get fit after the indulgence of Christmas! Here at Honest Mum, one lucky reader will be getting their hands on this gorgeous Sports Performance gift box which includes Supermilk Puddles, a Dark Fruit & Nut Slab, a Supermilk Hazelnut Slab, Classic Drinking Chocolate,Cocoa & Peppermint Infusions, and three 35g Rabot 1745 bars: Dominican Republic 100% Dark, Ecuador 70% Milk, and Saint Lucia 100% Dark.
