Cantaloupe, Orange and Turmeric Juice

I’m a huge fan of juicing as it’s a brilliant way to get goodness into the whole family’s bodies! My eldest Oliver is bit of a fussy eater, so juicing is a fab way of sneaking fruit and vegetables into his diet, especially for breakfasts on the (school) run!

I’ve been juicing, mostly veggie with the odd piece of fruit almost daily and I feel really energised for it!

When it comes to juicing one of my go-to recipe books is the rather fabulous Mae + Harvey’s No Ordinary Juice book by Natasha Sayliss, which is jam-packed with recipes for juices, smoothies and so much more. I’m excited to announce I have a copy of Natasha’s book (RRP: £9.99) to give away to one lucky reader in the post. Simply enter via the Rafflecopter at the end.

Natasha is the founder of the London based juice company Mae + Harvey and what I love about her book is that it avoids the whole detox and diet culture and instead serves up practical, seasonal and healthy recipes that everyone can enjoy!

Over to Natasha…

Both cantaloupe and oranges are loaded with vitamin C, so this is a great drink to give you a bit of a boost. The turmeric brings all the warm flavours together and creates a lovely bright drink.

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • ½ cantaloupe, seeds and skin removed
  • 1 orange, zest and pith removed
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a juicing machine. Serve chilled.

Mae + Harvey’s No Ordinary Juice Book by Natasha Sayliss is published by Pavilion Books and is priced at £9.99. To win a copy enter via The Rafflecopter below. Good Luck!

Myself and my partner recently got a new blender type product and have decided to make one meal a day a juice/smoothie one. This would be great to give us some new flavour ideas and combinations.

LOVE trying new recipes. You can download them from the internet but I prefer a good book to go through and get all mucky in the kitchen … happy times.

Fruit juice is a great way of getting all those proper vitamins and minerals inside you and it tastes great. I’m always looking out for new ways of combining different varieties so this is fab. x

I’m trying to incorporate more fruit and veg into my diet, but as I’m a very finicky eater it’s difficult. Juicing could be the answer, so a book would be really handy.
