Happy start of September guys!!
For many, the start of the academic year feels like the New Year, and while I cried my eyes out last night at the thought of the kids going back to school today (please tell me I’m not alone?) spending the evening in the park after school has made me feel less fretful that the summer holidays are over and normality is resuming. We had a relaxed summer and work was staggered so I got to rest, recover from a big op a few months earlier and make memories with those little boys of mine.
I am excited about some new work chapters starting, projects that have been in the making for months that are coming to fruition and some ah-mazing competitions I know you’ll love.
Speaking of freaking dream projects….Meet the Vicki bag!!! A collaboration with the stunning Keri Kit bags, this is a luxury vegan leather bag of literal mumboss dreams that fits your entire life inside. If you want to preorder, do please click the link and I’ll be sharing lots more about the process and more pics! https://kerikit.com/product/vicki-leopard-backpack/!
Now it’s time for zzzzz, but before I go, I wanted to share a post on taking a mental health day off, something I read about it Bustle recently that really helped lift my mood last week when I felt overwhelmed and PMTed.
It’s so important we make self-care a priority. I keep reminding myself of this every day (the internet doesn’t sleep but we need to).
As always, please come link up your posts and videos, comment on lots of posts and enjoy!
Thanks,
Vicki x

Gorgeous bag! And I agree with you about the importance of self-care. Sometimes something as simple as one quiet day on my own can make all the difference to my mood.
Balancing family, work and self care – it’s a constant battle! Well done for getting some rest. Amazing you have your own bag!! Fantastic Vicki! xx
Well, I admit that I did get weepy when we sent our daughter back to college, but for the other two it was more like a sigh of relief. [looks at shoes, shuffles feet]
OMG, you have a BAG named after you—now THAT has to be the pinnacle of success, doesn’t it? Or, at least, of COOLNESS?! All kidding aside, though, I can totally use a bag like this: very practical, but still uber-chic.
So excited to see your bag Vicki – what a wonderful project to have worked on! We’ve had the most epic summer but I have to admit to enjoying the peaceful house now that the kids have gone back to school!
I asbolutely agree, Vicki. Self-care is the most important thing. If we neglect ourselves, how can we give our best to our loved ones? #BrillBlogPosts
OH WOW, the Vicki bag is GORGEOUS!! Going to have a proper look now.
Hope all is fab with you, Vicki!

Loving the sassy backpack bag!How absolutely fab to be able to design one.
It’s even worse for me as I’m past that stage! My kids all adults now (although always need me!!) I long for the days of them being at school and with me most of the time. Hey ho – the granddaughter starts school on Monday – ekk! I’m sure i’ll be needed on the school run and kids plays soon! Enjoy your time with them, and thanks for hosting the linkup.
