Welcome back folks. Sorry there’s been a break in Brilliant Blog Posts here but I had a big thyroid op which I’m still recovering from and will write about in greater detail when I’m ready. I’m almost back to normal with minimal pain now but it’s been the hardest and most painful experience of my life to date. It was also a hugely worrying time as a large lump that was removed from my thyroid was tested for cancer which was thankfully benign. My surgeon advised I get back to work this work so have been easing back in gently and I’m excited to be returning to normality.
Thank you so much to everyone for your kindness, gifts and well wishes, the love has blown me away.
This week, I’m sharing a cute vintage style post of my boys who have been a pillar of strength through this time. I always thought I was meant to the be the strong one for those two and while I am, I never considered they would advise and reassure ME when I needed it. I feel so lucky.
Please do link up all of your posts, videos and even social handles, comment on one another’s posts (sharing is caring) and if you fancy an empowering read, please do consider buying my book Mumboss which became a No 1 Bestseller on Amazon in 4 categories (still in shock)!
I’ve got more book tour dates across the UK and beyond I’ll be sharing soon and I’m also speaking at Red Magazine’s Smart Week in September so hope you can make it,
Have a wonderful week all x

I am so, so glad that the lump was benign. How wonderful that you had the support of your beautiful boys as you went through this painful experience. Welcome back—I’m very glad you’re recovering well!
Ow, ow, ow… poor you. I haven’t been on social media much lately, so have completely missed your trials. I am so sorry you’ve had to go through all of that but I am so happy you’re on the mend.
I’m not in the least bit surprised that your boys have been so supportive – after all, look who their mum is… one of the most caring and supportive people I know. The apples don’t fall far from the tree, my lovely! xx

I wish you a good recovery!
Hi, great to see you back and wishing you a speedy recovery.
Your boys suddenly look so big in the photos and obviously so mature as they’re taking care of their mum. Glad to hear you’re on the road to recovery. Take it easy! Hugs.
Glad to see you back Vicki just remind yourself to take it slowly. As always, thank you for hosting xx

From a thyroid cancer survivor… I’m so glad to read that your lump was benign. My mum also had a benign lump on her thyroid just a few months after they found my malignant one. It’s such a terrifying time.
Does that mean you and I have matching scars now? X
