Welcome back people!

March 8th is International Women’s Day and I’m deeply honoured to be speaking about my career on a panel Celebrating Women in STEM and Returners at the House of Commons on the day!!!

My fellow panellists are: Rt Hon Tom Brake MP Carshalton and Wallington, Jacqueline de Rojas, President, techUK, Ann Cairns, President, MasterCard, Dr Betty Bonnardel-Azzarelli, Aerospace Engineer & Founder/CEO Aerospace consultancy Dr Omar Khan, Director of the Runnymede Trust Think Tank , Daniel Murray, Co-Founder Grabble and Mobula, Jack Freud (my manager), IP Publicity and former Freuds Communications and Tamara Lohan Co-Founder, Mr And Mrs Smith. WOW!

We have a long way to go  when it comes to equality but I feel with the #MeToo and #TimeUp campaigns of late that a REAL shift is underway, we seem be at a turning point where women’s voices are being heard, valued and are leading to change in the arts and in life. Let’s hope this is the just the start.

As always, please come and link up your blog posts, videos and social handles. You can add as many as you like and of any genre and archive posts are welcome too.

Do please comment on one another’s work and enjoy!

This week I’m sharing a post on how you can help Sport Relief this year and a post on why I feel social media will never replace phone calls and IRL meet-ups. Don’t miss it, you might just remember how much you used to liked speaking on it, after reading it!

Congratulations on your speaking engagement and book. The said on the news this morning McDonalds had turned all the “M”s around in celebration of the day to “W”s.

As a fellow woman in STEM, I enthusiastically applaud your talk on International Women’s Day. What an honor! I agree with you that there is a tremendous amount of momentum for change leading into this year’s celebration—I sincerely hope that we will continue to see women rising up to make their voices heard. Thank you for hosting—I’m off to read your posts!
