Welcome back to Brilliant Blog Posts!
It’s half-term here in the UK with my own kids being off for the week so I’ve taken a few days holiday which have so far been rather wonderful…
We’ve baked healthy berry crumble, cooked a roast chicken feast with my Mum which reminded me of Christmas, have excitedly visited my newborn nephew who is the sweetest, strongest little boy I know (he was born at 31 weeks and is doing brilliantly) and the kid enjoyed some crafting activities when Juliet of Dr Juliet McGrattan blog and her family visited today and we set to making Kids Bee Happy sand art pieces…All in between me making deadlines, oh and daily vlogs to boot. Phew!
Hey, if you’ve missed my vlogs, fear not, lots of time to catch up, just head to my YouTube channel and watch the short slices of our daily lives.
Please do subscribe!
People ask if it takes a long time but it’s actually short snippets I film during the day, that’s really fun and gives me a purpose to get creative in front and behind the camera. The vlogging has also helped me feel more confident than ever on camera and my husband Peter edits my footage on an evening (something he loves) ready to go live the following morning. We’re a two band production team here!
Vlogs are meant to be a little rough, ready and raw, they differ from the other videos and commissions I direct when I have longer to shoot and don’t need to be in every shot but that’s the beauty of vlogging, it’s my own reality TV show and I’m the Exec Producer!
If you want to start vlogging too, do check out my guest post ‘How to Start Vlogging‘ for Mumsnet.
This week, I’m linking up my latest vlog. If you like what I do, please do subscribe to my YouTube Channel- and in my second post, I’ve linked up our Weekend in York and Liverpool along with one of my all-time favourite posts with a look through my childhood photos!
