Welcome to a refreshed and chilled out Brilliant Blog Posts.
Why am I feeling so utterly relaxed? Well having just returned from a blissful week in beautiful Wales this Mama’s batteries have been fully recharged after a crazy-busy start to 2016!
We’re huge fans of the ‘Staycation’ and our trip to lush and idyllic North Wales didn’t disappoint. Just a 2 1/2 drive away from home yet we felt a million miles away from deadlines, busy schedules and all of life’s trials and tribulations.
I mean…that view!
We spent our days picking shells by the beach…
and it was incredible to see the boys bond so much. So sweet!
We also headed over to the beautifully eclectic Portmerion which is regularly cited as one of the world’s most impressive tourist destinations.
You can read more about our wonderful week in Wales here and as it’s #brilliantblogposts please do link up your own posts too! Old, new posts and as many posts as you like, all welcome!

I’m more than a little jealous of that getaway! Our only chance of a proper family vacation this year is a total long shot – I’m entering a competition in the hopes we’ll win a holiday! Wish me luck!
I hope you do Fern, wishing you lots of luck
Looks like a fabulous trip! Now I live in the NW it’s so much easier to go to Wales for a weekend break. My husband took my daughter while I was working a while back and she loved it so have to plan another trip there soon!

What a wonderful landscape! It just looks a little bit cold with all that snow in the background.. I haven’t been around Wales much but I will keep Portmerion in mind for the future.
It was so warm while we were there, it was insane, snow capped mountains and glorious sun for most of the time, we were very lucky x
Wow Vicki – looks like an amazing holiday! I love that shot of your boys – it’s amazing how much a holiday can bond you as a family, isn’t it? All that quality time! Eb x
Really does make everyone so happy and seeing them really bond was beautiful, thanks for your lovely wordsxxx
Fabulous view. We love Wales. Tend to go to the south rather than the north. Would love to see Portmerion. I’m not surprised you are refreshed and ready to go again.
OOh we love the South too and had some fab visits when we lived in Bristol. It was such a lovely break x
My god Vicki that view is amazing!!!! I know South Wales very well but I’ve never been to North Wales… must add it to my list of destinations I need to visit!
Thank you so much for hosting, have a great end of week (& weekend)

Thanks Lisa, we had the best time xx
I was at Cardiff (Wales Millennium Center) for two days sometimes last year and I truly did not want to leave. It was a refreshing change from the hustling and bustling of everywhere else.
Truly a beautiful place.
Wales is wonderful isn’t it.
Looks like you all had a great time! So good to get away and switch off (if possible). The beach is an absolute favourite place – I can’t imagine ever living far away from the coast – I’d feel trapped!
Thanks for hosting as ever – some lovely posts here.
I really want to live by the sea too, we had a fab time!
I’m Welsh so of course I agree that Wales is a wonderful place 🙂
I’m actually living in Yorkshire at the moment, but the house is on the market as we’re moving back to Wales. Yay!!
Thanks for the linkup.
Michelle xx
Aw how funny, we live in Yorkshire. We do love it here but I really want to live by the sea. Exciting you are moving back xx
This is a timely piece Vicky as my 9 year old asked if we could visit Wales just last week!
I think he heard about some kind of massive slide though – Not so much interested in the culture 😉
I’ll check out your post more thoroughly & research a short break for Summer. Thanks for the link up Vicky x
Oh fab, not heard about the slide but sounds fun x
Wales is such an idyllic place to visit. Thanks for hosting the linky party again!
