How is it #Brilliantblogposts time again- is time flying or what?!
I am just back from an epic 5 days at the Cannes Film Festival and I can’t wait to share it all with you guys next week.
My 5th year attending, it miraculously gets better every year that I attend. I sadly missed George Clooney who was there at the same time (although Julia Roberts and I shared a driver-again, not at the same time!)- but I did see Ryan Gosling for the second year running and I even bumped into Liam Gallagher at the airport! He’s such a dude!
This week though I have an equally exciting post to share where I interview the superstar that is Anastacia on the blog. A hero of mine and the soundtrack to my youth, Anastacia has sold a whopping 30 million records worldwide, has beaten cancer twice and is the most humble person EVER-go read her post HERE!
And, as a little side note, while I did work in the film and TV industry pre-blogging collaborating with some of the UK and even the world’s finest actors and crew, if you’d told me that a blog I started in maternity leave to help me find my voice when I felt broken, would lead to featuring superstars like Anastacia on the blog, I literally would have laughed.
The democratisation of the internet and sheer power of connecting online has meant a brave new career for us all if we choose to pursue it and I’m chuffed I did.
I can’t believe the places this blog has taken me to and the opportunities it’s brought not just material and holidays while they are lovely, the most important areas have undoubtedly seen how happy my flexible way of working has made my kids feel while also gaining greater self-awareness, confidence and of course, happiness.
I never take anything for granted and keep you, my readers at the forefront of my mind in all that I do. I want this site to always be a positive, encouraging and warm place to find yourself. A place to pick up a healthy recipe, share a trip away with us or pick up tips to feeling more confident in life and in business.
Thank you for your endless support (and for reading this mammoth post)!
Please, as always do link up your posts below, all genres and as many as you like as always and don’t forget to share that beautiful blog love.

Thank you, a wonderful lady. Cannes was super-very lucky xx
Well – ‘super very lucky’ crossed with ‘working darn hard to get where you are so you get opportunities like that’ I suspect!! 🙂 You are a total inspiration, Vicki! Eb x

Ryan Gosling YUM YUM YUMMY!
I’m always so amazed when reading how far you’ve driven your blog, your reasons may be different to mine but the sentiment is exactly the same. If I get RCM to the level you’re at with Honest Mum I will be one very happy Mummy. To be back at work on my own terms doing something I absolutely (& surprisingly) ADORE is gold. To continue growing is my goal so thank you Vicki, for being truly inspirational – Just like Anatascia.

Thanks Michelle for your truly kind words, I started my blog to rediscover my voice at a time I felt lost and it organically became my full time job offering me great freedom and the outlet for creativity every day. Your blog is fabulous and it’s wonderful to have you link up xx
I absolutely love that LBD with the big puffy sleeves. You look gorgeous in it. I am featuring a pretty LBD in today’s post that I linked up also. And great interview Vicki.
Do stop by and join my current, brand-new Thursday linkup. Thank you.
Ada. =)
Thanks so much Ada, it’s by Hannah Marshall and I’d only ever worn it once before so thought Cannes would be the ideal place to wear it again x
Goodmorning Vicki, Ryan Gosling is a good substitute for George Clooney, just a tad younger. I bet you had an utterly amazing time with the girls and I look forward o reading all about it next week.
I had no idea that Anastasia had breast cancer a second time! That must have been pretty scary for her. I remember when she got it first time and admired how she seemed to deal with it quietly. I look forward to reading that too.
Thank you for hosting.
