Welcome to another birthday edition of Brilliant Blog Posts! Sorry it’s gone live later than usual but I had a day off for my birthday yesterday!
After celebrating this blog’s 6th anniversary last week, it was time to celebrate turning 36! Which meant more cake – woop woop!
I actually had to Google how old I was (there’s a calculator online for it) as I thought I was 37 this year! You know you’re getting old when you need to Google your age huh ;)! Fingers crossed to waking up 29 on next year’s birthday!
To mark the occasion, I’m sharing 10 things I have learnt in 36 years, from the importance of being yourself to trusting the timing of your life. Oh and of course the importance of dancing daily!
You can read the post here.
I’m also sharing what was one of the toughest posts I’ve ever had to write, but just knew I had to after receiving a message on Facebook from a pregnant lady worried about not feeling like this time was all unicorns and rainbows. It’s time to demystify pregnancy, birth and parenthood. So much pressure is put on women to take to motherhood like a duck to water, but you know what…it isn’t easy and sometimes it just won’t even feel natural!
This is where bloggers and vloggers have helped redefine the narrative. We tell it how it is. Most importantly, we have to be open and honest and reach out when we need to.

And last but by no means, least, I’m linking up to a third post on my brand spanking new shiny bathroom courtesy of Wickes! I’ve always hated my bathroom-we inherited it when we moved in and although the rest of house is chic and modern, the bathroom is oh-so-drab!-so it was such a joy to have it renovated! You can check out the finished product here.
As its Brilliant Blog Posts don’t forget to link up your own posts too! Please add as many as you like, comment on my own posts and others which catch your eye. Don’t forget to add my badge to the pieces you link up! Enjoy!
