It’s time to grab your rolling pin, apron and whisk!

Because for this week’s Brilliant Blog Posts I’m calling on all my fellow bloggers to unleash your inner Mary Berry’s (or Paul Hollywood for the fella’s) and get baking to raise money for charity!

Cakes for Bake and Brew

Leave your soggy bottoms at the door though please… 😉

I’ve been working as an Ambassador for the wonderful charity, The Children’s Society, and recently hosted my own ‘Bake and Brew’ party to raise much needed funds for the charity’s vital projects!

And you can get involved too and host your own party! Just check out my post here to find out more and if you’re in need of some bake-spiration I’m also sharing the recipes for the cakes I made.

I’m also sharing a second post on any parent’s best friend aka the Sky Kids App.

Get kids to sleep with Sky Kids App on their tabletsSky buddy tells kids when to go to sleep

I’ve always struggled getting my two kids to bed, yet this genius app as worked wonders in helping to establish regular bedtime routines so the Oliver and Xander get there 40 winks and Mama can get her beauty sleep!

You can read all about it here.

And as it’s Brilliant Blog Posts don’t forget to share your own posts – both old and new are welcome and they can be on any topic!

I baked chocolate brownies with my daughter and they smell so good it’s taking every bit of will power not to scoff the lot! I took some in to work to lessen the temptation but there are still some there calling my name!

I did not need to see these cakes right now! I could happily bury myself in them! Haha. Great cause and cake – what’s not to love?! Will be sure to check your recipes out and I’m intrigued about this app, too!

Oy, I barely have time to even think of baking, much less actually going through with it. Sure hope it gets easier, but baby is still young and needy. 🙂
