I don’t know where to start with this week because I only went and interviewed Oscar-nominated director Ava DuVernay and actress Storm Reid before… wait for it, attending the premiere of the movie A Wrinkle In Time which featured a Q & A with my all-time hero Oprah Winfrey as well as Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling amongst others before the film began.
I’ll be blogging and sharing a vlog on it all once I’ve processed the sheer wonder that was 24 hours of magical energy and female empowerment but right now, I can’t stop thanking my lucky stars that somehow I ended up in a room with the woman who has influenced so much of my career. My greatest role model and a star I aspire to literally every single day.
Oprah, you are incredible.

Another incredible star is mumboss Fearne Cotton whom I interviewed last week when I met her at the launch of her new and super dreamy Boots Mini Club kids’ collection so don’t miss the post.
I’ve also shared one of the most popular recipes on the blog this week: vegan banana bread. You might have spotted it before but as it’s so well read, I republished it today and hope you guys will make it this weekend. I know you’ll absolutely love it.
Anyway, if there’s one thing yesterday proved, it’s that no dream is ever too far-reaching and unrealistic. I’ve always visualised hearing Oprah speak in person and it happened on a Tuesday night at the BFI. As I’d expected, her words of wisdom deeply resonated with me and were exactly what I needed to hear at this point in time. To trust in my own frequency and be a warrior: something the film fiercely advocates with its strong female protagonists. I was moved to tears last night.
