brilliant blog posts-Honest Mum

Welcome guys and gals to Brilliant Blog Posts- and it’s an extra special one this week as I’m celebrating my 6 year Blogiversary! Woop Woop! Have you seen my cake?! Ah-mazing huh! I’m just about to eat my handbag (that sounded so wrong)!

I still can’t believe I’ve been blogging for 6 whole years today and although a massive cliché, the time really has flown by-a bit like parenting, parenting blogging flashes by and before you know it you’re turning 6 which is kind of like 60 in the blog world.

It’s crazy to think that what started as a simple outlet to help me rediscover my voice after the traumatic birth of my eldest son, transformed into an exciting business venture that has seen me collaborate with my favourite chefs, travel the world, present on national TV and appear in glossy magazines, with now a small team here at Honest Mum HQ.

Blogging is the most empowering way to work people so seize it, own it and trust that it will bring great things.

To mark this anniversary, I’m sharing what might just be the most important post I’ve ever written. To me anyway. A post on why I blog.

Whether you’re an established or aspiring blogger, I hope you find the post inspiring.

My blog in my very own corner of internet I call my own has brought so much joy to mine and my family’s lives. It’s enabled me to work in a creative, flexible way which works around my family, and it’s given me confidence back along with a renewed sense of identity, great friendship and a chance to learn and grow in ways I never thought possible.

You can read the post here and to celebrate, I’m also giving away a year’s supply of chocolate courtesy of Hotel Chocolat (yup you heard me right – a year’s supply of chocolate!!).

…And this love of blogging is something I’ll be talking about at Red Magazine’s Jump Start Your Career In Tech seminar in association with Sky.

Taking place on November 26th, I’ll be sharing the stage with some digital bad-asses including Digital Mums, Zaana Van Dijk and Freeformers, sharing practical advice and tips to carve out a new digital career!

You can read all about the event here.

As always, please read my posts linked up, comment on them and of course others which catch your eye and add my badge/ link back on the posts you add.

Thanks so, so much for supporting me and making this linky such a success, you all rock and mean so much to me, V x

I can’t open your post on why you blog – it says: page not found. I reckon it’s that you don’t actually want us to get our hands on that chocolate…or perhaps its crashed under the weight of the stampede! Anyway, I’ll check back later and in the meantime: Happy Blogaversary 🙂 x

Congratulations on reaching 6 years. That’s some achievement in itself let alone everything you’ve achieved.
