Ey up readers, it’s Farmer Vicki here sharing our fun Saturday at Diggerland where we celebrated Xander’s 4th birthday!
Diggerland in Yorkshire is one of this family’s most favourite adventure theme parks (you can read past posts and even check out a video on ‘Totally Digging Diggerland‘ and ‘A Day Out at Diggerland‘, so when we were kindly invited there again with my best friend Becky and her family to celebrate my youngest’s birthday, we couldn’t wait to get back on those JCB bad boys and get digging!
And that’s what makes Diggerland so flipping awesome.
It’s a seriously fun experience for all the family.
It’s not a, ‘Let’s just watch the kids from the sidelines having the time of their lives and twiddle our thumbs’ kind of place, it’s all about jumping on those epic mean machines and having a blast together.
And what a blast it was.
We got to operate real diggers, dumpers and other machinery, bump into one another on the shiny dodgems that made me feel 15 again and zoom around the tracks having the time of our lives. I have a need for speed and my kids have taken after me!

Becky, Oli and their boys were brave enough to venture on the Spindizzy ride (WOW)- but we’re a family of wimps here so didn’t do any sky-high activities!
Our faves included digging bricks from the mud and hooking ducks from diggers which Oliver excelled at, even beating the adults (go Oliver!)- and a magical ride spotting dinosaurs in the woods as the sun set was just dreamy.
Thanks a million, Diggerland.
