What a night the Inspiration Awards for Women was! An emotional and incredibly glamorous night celebrating the most brilliant and caring of women (and men) with Rio Ferdinand scooping the Most Inspirational Man award, and a chance to catch up with friends including Buffy Pond, Sky 1 Presenter and Michelle Collins whom I’ve known for years.
It was lovely to meet up with theatre producer Caitlin Albery Beavan again, and meet Vick Hope, TV and Radio presenter who is also looked after by the same manager as me, Neil at Insanity.
Tito Jackson was there too (!) and the room was literally filled to the rafters with some of the country’s finest actors and performers. Stacey Solomon and Andrew Castle presented the night and Dr Jane Goodall DBE (Primatologist, ethologist, anthropologist, and UN Messenger of Peace)’s speech on her groundbreaking work with chimpanzees (she’s the world’s foremost expert) was eye-opening and uplifting.
With live music, a delicious three-course meal and a chance to meet and mingle with other like-minded creatives, it was a night to remember…I’ve only just recovered!
I nicked Buffy’s pics of Insta because I was too busy vlogging to photograph the night!
